Since yesterday, there is Monero on
https://cryptox.pl
Cryptox is quite new Polish exchange, you will be surprised liquidity it offers. Of course, liquidity for rather smaller needs, but transfers are also cheap. Worth to consider for little diversification.

Since 2 years https://cryptox.pl low fees, no KYC.

Why would i use a new website if there are reliable and bigger exchanges to trade XMR at..

I do not like to send the selfie on request.
I like if transfer is made in half a second.
I do no not like high fees.
I like if can exchange and forget about login credentials.
I remember many big and reliable exchanges fail, especially the biggest.

Since 2 years https://cryptox.pl low fees, no KYC.

I should have responded here and not the speculation thread so I'll drop this here and add to it.

A USD/XMR pair is great but how can we trust this exchange that got hacked because of retardedly stupid security setup.

So what have they done to improve on their security? How can we trust them when they lied about the hot/cold ratio in the first place? Are they still using that rubber stamp company for the third key that can be used to bypass legitimate users keys?

a) Don't trust any exchanges. They aren't wallet services, so if you aren't trading then don't keep your funds there.
b) I'm actually more confident that Bitfinex won't allow a repeat problem due to the fact that the hack looms in the rearview mirror. I cannot and will not vouch for them other than to say that I believe they'll stick with cold storage from here on out.

Again, don't trust exchanges with storing the majority of your funds. However, if you are a trader it makes sense to split funds between Polo and Bitfinex since it does reduce the chance of a total loss by a single exchange.

We cannot trust BotFinex, it's that simple. They are Hong Kong based, unauditable b/c of lack of regulations, and they force their users to socialize losses due to lack of security infrastructure and consensus mechanism.

Having your coins at BotFinex is like having them on the counter in the bank. Why the XMR hype about this obvious money pit?

We cannot trust BotFinex,

we cannot trust exchanges. yet, be added by one more exchange is always a good thing.
I really hate bfx but they still have a good volume so why would that be a bad thing? just dont keep your coins there(same as if you bought at poloniex, dont keep it there).

to an exchange be hacked is a matter of "when".

lol I had no ideas it will be on my bd.  5th January is usually a really dull cold day when no one wants to party anymore after December and a New year so I would definitely vote against choosing that day if had chance. Tongue

Good day time, dear miners, developers and others. I am a newbie Monero using, was able to install and sync wallet at my PC. What version and which miner do you guys use for mining Monero ? Wolf's miner has broken links in the discussion. I wonder what is the best choice for CPU mining ? Is it Linux or Windows OS, and what is the fastest one ?

Hello and welcome!
It all depends on the CPU you actually have. If yours is new enough and has AES_NI capabilities, Joblo's miner may be a good choice (and you can actually discuss with the developer in case of troubles) : https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=1326803.0

I have an old CPU and when I mine XMR I use an older miner (Tsiv's). It all depends on your CPU.

Also the pools use to link a few miners, you can try those out too. You will need to do a couple of tests by yourself to see what goes better for your configuration.

I don't know if linux or windows is better though... whatever x64 should do, linux is considered to be safer.

Thanks for mining! You can mine in the daemon - simply open your monero-wallet-cli and type start_mining.

Linux is usually the best for Monero all around, as everything is developed in linux.

If you have AES-NI, wolf's miner is usually the best. THere's another one called YAM, but you need to have a better sense of what your CPU architecture is. Easy enough to figure out, but still.

@Monero team / community

Please consider checking out my new project which can potentially help spread new discussion for Monero! Today it was launched into Beta. You can claim your invite codes here:
https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=1699338.0

When I purchase advertisements from a range of crypto websites, this will bring in new traffic to my forum from different sources rather than just bitcointalk.
Monero are eligible to claim a featured category on my forum if they wish. (More info can be found on the thread/forum).

My budget for this project is 30-btc. Thanks for reading.

Plenty of recognized forums out there, no need. What would help the adoption is the DNM utilizing multisig as a part of escrow service. One last-ditch effort to build the one ended with preliminary closure of marketplace and reddit thread saying poor holders cant afford to transact via new "trustless" dark market platform. Darn marketplace with no customers.

Hey folks,

There is a new Monero-specific meetup group in London. Don't hesitate to join!  Smiley

https://www.meetup.com/Monero-London/

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".
