Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce the Monero Observer to the forum. We are already up to Volume No. 7! The latest issue of Monero Observer is out for the week of Sep. 26 - Oct. 2. Looking forward to hearing back any questions, feedback, corrections, suggestions, or anything you think should be included in the next issue.
Cheers!

I gotta say I just can't remember seeing any bankers getting perp walked? I guess it's always been a mystery how all the other illegal money got moved.

Funny how those large ones always seem to be less than the amounts they actually made from the illegal activity, it's almost as if the gov is saying we have a double standard here.

Hi community. I tried to sent Monero from Bittrex to my core wallet but it always says Payment ID invalid on Bittrex. May I know what might be the issue?

Also, what does Base Addres on Bittrex XMR withdrawal page mean? Thanks in advance

If you're sending to your own wallet, you don't need to specify a payment ID. The base address is just the plain address (without the payment ID embedded). You can find it on the receive page of the GUI.

None at the moment, too much pool hopping going on these past few days fucking up the daily earnings of the little guy, at times the hashrate difference is 20Mh/s :/

Love Monero .... curious if anyone has invested in this ICO ...

https://ab-chain.com/

You're joking, right? To me, this has "scam" written all over it.

When did White Papers turn into business plans, marketing and BS? This should be a deep dive into the technical approach to be used to solve a problem, at the very least.

Just my opinion...

Does anyone have any idea if Monero Research Labs is putting out another paper soon? I've really enjoyed reading the ones they already put out and would love some to devour some more.

There is a road map here.
https://getmonero.org/resources/roadmap/

Multi-sig is assigned to be an ongoing task and this year. When it will be completed?

There has been discussion that coinbase will list Monero after the multisig is completed. After multisig implementation how long will it take when coinbase lists monero?

Isn't listing monero on coinbase like playing pornography in a monastery?

I dotn get your point. Why you think so? Monero is a true cryptocoin. Different from Bitcoin is that you cant trace transactions. So easy job  for Coinbase to not work with customers that they are prohibited.  With Bitcoin, they need to check many transactions to be sure they are not dealing with customers they are not allowed.

Multisig will open many doors.

I can't even start to comprehend the shit you need to go through in order to run a service such as coinbase and comply with AML/KYC regulations, wouldn't monero basically make their job impossible to stay compliant? They'd have no idea where and how those moneros were obtained, wouldn't they? Or what they don't know they can't be held accountable for?

That's not their concern, do you think a bank has to account for where you got the funds to deposit? Of course not, all they can do is report what you have done with those funds once they are deposited whether it be moving it onto an anonymous chain or not.
