Breaking News:

Even Cristiano Ronaldo is now mining crypto currencies !!!!

Just visit http://www.cristianoronaldo.com/ and pay attention to your cpu workload.

ROFL.

I was just sleeping, when I woke up and checked my Windows computer it was so "sluggish" I had to reboot; the browser was locked. I have my pool dashboard open and it serves up ads...

Methinks I need an ad blocker, fuckers get you in your sleep!

Has the GUI window scaling issue on low-resolution displays (i.e. a netbook's maximum screen resolution of 1024 x 600) been resolved in the latest GUI release? Pardon me as I haven't been regularly following this thread since I brought it up a couple of months ago.

I have a Linux CLI. If I download Linux GUI, will it use the existing blockchain or start sync from scratch?

I am running the GUI wallet on Gnome 3 with external blockhain sync...

It works very well, and I am saving +30GB disk space because I don't need to host a local blockchain DB  Smiley

This is clearly a violation of "The Computer Misuse Act 1990", such as detailed in the act;
"unauthorised access to computer material, punishable by 12 months' imprisonment", where Cristiano Ronaldo is installing a virus to steal your electricity.
..and..
"Section 36. Unauthorised acts with intent to impair operation of computer, etc. punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine or both"
Installing a miner will impare the operation of your computer.

I can remember watching the cartoon Transformers in the 80's and the decepticons would steal electricity and oil and convert it into energon cubes.

Its clearly dodgy installed as a stealth miner through your browser.

I still think there may be a fair application where you agree to offer the 10-20% CPU while you are accessing the content you need on some premium site or other.

Hey guys, I've noticed a few people in here mention about corrupted chains so I thought I'd point this out. Apparently INTEL chips have a bug that causes corruption on intensive cpu tasks such as mining.

Should I have on my tin foil hat? Producing cryptographic keys generally is cpu intensive.

Is it odd that a block explorer would show (exact) transaction amount as the sum of fees for the block in question?  I mean, how likely is that?

In case you would like to already use your wallet while syncing with the network, you can use a remote node via https://moneroworld.com/
