OK, I'm not a crypto noob but I'm new to monero. This jinky wallet is pissing me off (slow, crashes, freezes) and bittrex won't even let me send funds over. Where do I find info on a full, clean uninstall to start over?

These 3rd world shills really piss me off for posting rubbish for few cents a day. I hope one day they can find an honest clean job like everyone else.

Do you do bounty? why blockchain? ETC. But he appears to be a real user. Looking at his last posts, he's engaged in real conversations.

https://downloads.getmonero.org/cli/linux64 Has always been smooth as silk for me. Building and scanning the database though can be unusually computationally intensive compared to other crypto-currencies. Is your system a bit on the older side? As far as a fresh install. On linux it stores application data in ~/.bitmonero. On windows I would venture a guess that its in C:\Users\userName\AppData\Roaming or C:\Users\userName\AppData\Local. Probably Roaming but I have never used the windows client myself so I can't be sure. Other than that just delete the directory where you unpacked the binaries or use the add remove programs utility in windows.

FWIW windows GUI on a slow machine has always been slow and freezing/crashing for me. It gets the job done eventually though. Upgrading to a faster machine and linux is a good fix.

My Zcash wallet was a breeze before I went to Trezor. Wish monero was Trezor ready. I'm sitting on well over 2k in Monero and in for the haul you Trump voter so kindly go FYS. Oh, yeah, this is the third world though under our Putin kissing prez.

Thanks, I think I found out shutting down while loading the initial blockchain is a big no no. Can't uninstall from windows for some reason though. Will delete and run regclean. 12gb ram, Win 10 pro, 3.2 amd 4 core should be enough for a wallet I'd think.

I think it's safe to say that isn't the problem.

Monero is still a really good currency and the updates to make it private will make me invest in it more.
I have sigs turned off, so I can't see, but assume this is another farmer. This shit is getting out of control on this forum. 2 and 3 posts per minute, continuously. W.T.F.

What can you do, not anyone's fault you were born with limited metal capacity for comprehension of the most trivial computer GUI tasks.

Ignore the trolls. I don't like the GUI wallet either. Does is work for you and you just don't like it, or are you having a real problem that makes it unusable? I would suggest the support thread, but it's pretty dead.

Try using this guide: https://www.deepdotweb.com/2017/05/01/monero-gui-wallet-guide/This guide was written when GUI beta 2 was released, but is still applicable to GUI v0.11.1.0. Paging jemiro too.
