Hey folks,

about 16h ago I made XMR transaction. Unfortunatelly the recipient is still waiting for it to arrive. My Monero-wallet displays BlockHeight 0 for that tx.
I tried
Code:
flush_txpool
and it seemed to cancle the tx.

However I tried to send the transaction again and it is again stuck with a BlockHeight 0.

Any suggestion on how to solve this?

Thanks,
Kryptowerk

Few questions first:

1. Are you using the GUI or CLI?

2. Which version are you using?

3. If you're using the CLI, can you type "status" (without the quotation marks) into monerod and post the output here.

4. If you're using the GUI, can you go to the Settings page and press on "Show status". Subsequently, post the output here.

5. Can you find your transaction hash / ID on a block explorer?

Thank you for the efforts.

It seems I am using an outdated version. The reason why didn't suspect this was bcause my monero daemon said "synchronised with the network" and the client also displayed "connected".
However after running it for two hours in the background now, it is stuck @block 1400001.

1) GUI

2) GUI version: 13253c3
embedded monero version: dd580d7

3) typing status into monerod confirmed it was stuck @block 1400001 and gave me a nice "update needed" info

4) I don't see a "show status" button anywhere (?)

5) nope, https://moneroblocks.info doesn't find it, but I guess it's impossible anyway to broadcast a transaction when my blockchain isn't fully synced?

My question now is: Can I just download the latest monero gui and replace the old files?

Thank you very much!

You're most likely running v0.10.3.1 (which is incompatible) if it's stuck on block 1400001. Can you first update your client?

https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/6390/how-do-i-upgrade-my-software-to-v0-11-1-0

^ These steps are applicable to upgrading from an older version than 0.11.0.0 as well.

Thanks again. Not too difficult actually. Wink
However I still seem stuck @ -49486 blocks (I restarted both, Daemon and gui and am now stuck @49535). Here is the output of monerd running with
Code:
--log-level 1
for that extra information.

To be clear, that's version 0.11.1.0 right? If so, try these steps:

1. Exit the daemon by typing "exit".

2. Exit the GUI as well.

3. Open a new command prompt from the same directory as monerod. This is done by first making sure your cursor isn't located on any of the files and subsequently pressing SHIFT + right click. It will give you an option to "Open command window here".

4. Now type the following command -> monero-blockchain-import.exe --pop-blocks 5000

5. If your blockchain isn't located in the default directory, you have to add the --data-dir flag as well. Thus -> monero-blockchain-import.exe --pop-blocks 5000 --data-dir path\to\your\blockchain

6. Open monerod.exe by double clicking on it.

7. Check, using the status command, whether it syncs past block 1400001 now.

Thanks, your answer gave me the important hint to what might be the problem. I had always started the daemon prior via a .bat to make sure it loads the blockchain to my external drive. However I didn't update the bat to point to the new files I had just installed!

It is now synchronizing! Very slowly, 20 blocks per second, but still...

Wallet-Monero Is a New Website Attempting to Steal Your XMR

https://themerkle.com/wallet-monero-is-a-new-website-attempting-to-steal-your-xmr/

WALLET-MONERO IS NOT AN OFFICIAL PROJECT

When people enter the phrase “Monero wallet” in any search engine, odds are they will come across the Wallet-Monero website sooner or later. While this website may seem genuine and somewhat professional, it is evident the service is not endorsed by the Monero community in any official capacity. There are a few working wallet solutions for Monero right now, with Ledger and TREZOR support to follow in the next few months.

The list of “approved” Monero wallets contains no mention of Wallet-Monero. This goes to show the company has no honest intentions whatsoever, and the service should be avoided at all costs. Although it may seem like a genuine web wallet solution, the only service people should trust is MyMonero, which is the only official web wallet and is run by the XMR developers themselves. Any other service claiming to provide similar functionality is not legitimate until proven otherwise....

If worst comes to worse you could always delete everything other than ~/.bitmonero/lmdb/ and start from scratch. That would surely fix it Cheesy.

Please don't follow this. It's excessive and should only be tried as last resort. Besides, it might not even fix his issue.

It was intended as a last resort suggestion.

ok, does anyone know how long it usually takes to get a transaction from mymonero to your kraken account?
I've been waiting for at least 4 hours now. is this normal?

it's not the first time I've done this, and I don't think i've messed up the address (copy pasted it)

Anyone know what's up?

My guess would be somebody is using the toaster at Kraken to... make toast.  It is therefore unavailable to process your deposit.  Just wait a week or so, I'm sure support will get back to you.  After toast.

Or there could be an unexpected problem.

Wow, awesome, so Trezor and Ledger support coming!
I was just about to ask, since I am definitly not up-to-date in regards to the XMR-train, if a light-wallet, comparable to the Electrum-Bitcoin wallet for example, is in near sight for a public release?

On a side note: In my option the lack of simple wallet solutions for the avarage joe-user is what keeps Monero from its well deserved mainstream success right now.
Ledger and Trezor support is a good start, though.

Many people find Kraken unusable any time volume is average or higher.  The long running joke is that their systems are run by a toaster. Personally, I've given up on them for a while.  If I hear of improvements to their traffic handling, I will try again.

I have used this light wallet on Android (sorry no apple yet):

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.m2049r.xmrwallet&hl=en

It's legit, although I only tested with 1 XMR a few weeks ago.

(It does take a few minutes to sync, but it does work).  Wink

Very nice indeed, thanks for the tip! Open source and storing priv key locally, fantastic.
Will have to check, though, if this has enough peer reviews (not a coder myself...).

This is very true. When Ledger support is available XMR is going to the next level.

I am a small investor in this but am anticipating more purchases. Kicking myself for not buying in at $5 when I first started watching this coin and buying a few hundred
