Logo change at all is a bad idea. Imho it's not better or worse before or after launch. Luckily it doesn't look like 99d will come up with anything worthwile.

i just dont get it why for gods sake we need logo change again...? because nem is technically awesome and not "okay"? jabo, i dont want to seize anybody here, but thats not a vaild argument to unroll the whole logo discussion again. people are sick of that me included. nem isnt released yet, no independent evaluation has been done how good/bad or awesome/okay nem is. let the people decide how "good" nem is.

Don't worry too much about it. People were saying that we could have a better logo. So a part of the community went ahead and made that contest on 99d. So partially I'm actually happy that finally the community is getting something done. On the other hand it's - like you said - another freaking logo discussion and it's nothing but useless to me.
Unless 99d comes up with something really fan-fucking-tastic there will be no logo change though. So it's basically just a sideshow that imho doesn't really deserve that much attention. Especially right now when we're closing in on launch (so yeah, timing is also terrible imho).

I think the community just wants the best branding possible.

the community? read comments here and on facebook, people are sick of that never-ending logo story and begin to deride.

IMHO unserious and useless but if you really want to go that way, do it. You'll have a super-amazing-mind-blowing logo and community laughin at you. Good decision.

I think it's a good idea to change the logo from a decent logo to a really great one that sticks out. This one look like fire & fist & phoenix bird at the same time.

Ok, so lets change the amount of coins again please, can we do a poll? I vote for 2187. Thats my birthdate and brings luck. Sorry to be that sarcastic but i only read ONE message in the official forum to change the logo again. I don't see more than 5-8 people here who want to change the current one. Please define community to me. This is an unreleased coin, 3 times the logo has changed. New website released a few days ago. People screaming about launch. Trust me THIS isn't helpful to the image of NEM. I just don't see a clear focus all around here.

above Phoenix logo is better than current one.....yes or no ?

I feel discussions are not going to get very far - people (understandably so) feel strongly about not changing the logo, yet now these new designs have come to light i see no reason not to reconsider a logo change, especially as others do express a liking to these new ones.

I think for the sake of honoring the previous vote/discussion, the current nem logo should be included in any vote that also includes these new (and improved -imo) ones.

One thing i don't understand is why people feel this in any way hinders or postpones the development of NEM - the devs are working on the platform regardless, and if the logo did change, it's not exactly an ordeal to edit the logo in the client. Better now than later that's for sure.

There is no harm in discussing -- or even voting -- for a logo, it's just unfortunate that some people can't do so in a civil manner because of their preconceived notions that this is somehow interfering with dev's work. Lol.
