Ask xtester if there's proof... B I T C H!!! @xtester, is there a proof? Well, to be honest I think there might be proof, but I am in no way involved in the matter, as I have already explained to smaragda.

Ok, I take it as Smaragda really got money lost in Simcoin.

smaragda, I have been away until now, so I couldn't answer sooner. Please note that I have repeatedly responded to you and offered suggestions as to how you might not end up in a bad situation on this thread, and done this with respect and civility. If you continue trolling and spamming the thread I will have to start cleaning up. Please think twice before you proceed to doing again what you normally do.

but I think many new users will just be running nis+ncc on default port. isn't that a real issue for the network? I mean you said if ncc can be accessed then nis can be crashed!? you guys should fix that somehow. 1) I wouldn't know how you can crash NIS by accessing NCC. Well, what he(laniakea) means is the following: an "attacker" can access NCC=>Settings, enter e.g. 0.0.0.0 as remote server and 123 as port. Boom, NIS offline, and node owner -- unless grasping how the software works -- confused, as Nis can't be relaunched and wallets can't be opened with such setting in place. idk the previous setting. i reinstalled the nem program in a new folder, but still the same problem appear.
In the settings enter 127.0.0.1 and check default port

@xtester
Why are you intentionally ignoring all the personal attacks against me on the NEM thread?
smaragda, I am not ignoring them, once you have crossed a line, expect that people will react. Anybody is free to post opinions, complaints, or even personal attacks as long as these are done in a civil manner.

Interesting document. What percent of the total coins do the devs control? It's less than 50%, isn't it? Developers control 65% of coins, I believe. This is probably the worst distribution of POS coin

This reminded me that the issue related to completely trust-free harvesting is still there. By protecting every single participant you make the whole system more vulnerable. If automatic fee transfering was removed then small fish would start to care whom they give the power of delegated harvesting to. I haven't seen an explanation why it's not an issue yet. Sorry, I don't see any problem here. Delegated harvesting doesn't delegate to someone else. It delegates to another account that is is still your.

You mean, how can they control the multisig they control? Multisig is not protecting anything if the co-signatories are all malicious players (i hope core team players will not take this comment personal, it is just an observation in regard to the relevant convo) More over, multisig can be a pain, if there is no consensus for whatever reason.

If these coins don't harvest on a node controlled by a single person then it's ok.
