I allready asked this twice a few months ago. Answer then was twice: no. I won't ask a third time. I gues they will reconsider soon without somebody asking ...

They had absolutely no reason to consider it at the time. There are plenty of coins which had similar or better volumes.

If the present volume levels are here to stay, and I've no idea if it will, then they won't need to be asked.

We are still in correction mode, it can drop lower and (I hope) bounce from 1000-1300 level. We need a wave of new buyers to rise again. Currently there is more selling than buying pressure.

Both sell orders and buy orders on Poloniex became double than a week ago.

Sell orders are almost 5 times bigger than few days ago, not double.

This would add another direct fiat link to XEM.  XEM/JPY

Currently only fiat link is XEM/CNY at BTC38.

Why would this be good news for XEM?

NEM made its bones in Japanese fintech industry, now there will be direct link to buy NEM without hussle to go in BTC. Now everytime media in Japan write about NEM people can get in without obtsacles. Japan is NEMs main market right now. It is quite popular there.

most news/deals are created in japan we miss many of them on our english side
Comparing to other  crypto 2.0 xem is quite fresh and have huge rise pottencial.
Lets be honest NEM accoplished thing that is beyond most of other reach cooperation with companies.

Lets say company A and company B have assets but then need medium to coperate both need fast and reliable
medium of exchange (neutral medium) what you will chose ? Probably XEM same teechnology ext integration with systems
is much easier than do it by other coins technologys.
Japan is country with full of tech nerds and XEM is good japaneese produkt.
We don't see what is going on behind scenes and someone inject few milions of $ i am in crypto few years and 100m $ pump are
not happenig just like that XEM was not even hyped arround.

I doub it was like few guys met and said "lets waste 10m $ and pump XEM on zero news"...
Smart guys would do like that: behind scenes they know that some big X company will use xem they know that BIG are in corner but they need
direct jen to XEM cennection... So then they can hype XEM news in Japan and having direct sell place they are secured in profit.
We think that we will make profit uisually those guys with few milions $ they know better how to make profit.

I bought and stashed a few XEM last year, can't remember exactly when. I have name.adb and name.wlt, as well as the password I used when creating the wallet. I do not have the private key. When I run the client, it sees the wallet, but when I type the password it tells me:

"Oops!

ERROR 123

NIS: ADDRESS BOOK COULD NOT BE READ"

Is all lost?

Your wallet seems to be fine.  Your address book not so.  

You can try a few things.  

1) You just needs to change the name of file.  If it was more than one word and he used the back up wallet feature, it saved in the wrong format.  Renaming the file will fix it.  (but I forget the trick.  I think it involves put a "_" in between the words)  (Please make a back up copy to play with when doing things like this)


2) He can wait until the next Lightwallet comes out and import into it without the address book as long as it was a wallet with only one account.  

3) If you know the password.  Remove the two wallets from the NCC folder.  Create a new wallet with the same name and same password.  Deleted that wallet but leave the address book file in the NCC folder.  Now paste in the original and good wallet.  If it was just a problem with the address book file, then you will be able to log into your wallet just having lost all your address book contents only.  

If any of these work, please also back up the private key.

Thankyou, but none of these worked. I don't have a lot of spare time right now to dedicate to this, but I'll try again in the future and hope that perhaps that lightwallet works.
I'm not the only person with this prob btw, I've received a PM from someone with the same issue.
Fingers crossed for the future, don't want to lose those 45,000 coins!

Edit: I do not think my files are corrupted. I had them backed up on 4 usb drives. None work, all were taken from the original, working files created by the wallet; not copies of potentially corrupted files. Also, 2nd April 2015 is the date on which these files were created. I'd have been using the most recent wallet on that date to create these files. Just including this info incase it's of any obvious consequence or might give any clues as to why the latest wallet doesn't seem to like my files. Thanks.
