It is specially designed to add more functions and features to support the financial industry where critical features and functions are required of the blockchain.

Im pretty sure its intended to replace the existing java based core...

Check the bold and {added} Text in your quote. In my Understanding, Catapult is new NEM Core.

Not sure, but have you waited till NIS is synchronized? Let it run for some hours or download the Blockchain for fast forward the Blockchain Download Process.

Its about another $2800 USD for that much XEM.

I could have easily doubled my stake if i dumped on the last pump and rebought on a low, but it was just simply too risky for me to do so.

its never a good time to dump due to the ninja style news. I've got burned in the past by dumping b4 the pump.

Q1 2017 (like the whitepaper says) seems a perfect timing for me when the BTC pump settles and the money flows into alts.

I already sent Ronel that message when the article came out.  We don't have any Chinese PhD Nemsters, but I'm hoping that whoever these guys are that are hired that Ronel can present to them.
