Hello friends,

I have had no problem opening my NEM wallet until today.  When I tried to open it today by clicking on the NEM icon, the NIS is running
(fully synchronized) and the NCC starts for a second and then stops.  The wallet page does not open in the browser and I get a message
"This site can't be reached, Local host refused to connect."  Basically the NCC is not running.

I am not high tech and I am looking for the easiest fix to open my wallet again.  My first thought is to reinstall the wallet. Thoughts?
I also read an earlier post that says to navigate to c:\users\ Nem\ncc and delete file accounts cache mainet.Json and then try to restart.

Please advise and thank you.

This is because chinese traders have a keen interest in NEM. Maybe it's not as secure as u have been told.

Where's the evidence for that? I haven't seen or heard of many peeps out of China, plenty elsewhere in Asia though. The Chinese seem to be more conservative when it comes to alts compared to other bits of the world.

But what is a clear lie for us, is considered competition in china, if it comes to products.
Didn't you see the numerous highest electrical and quality standard products for 9.99? Wink

How you can compare blender and blockchain?

I can not find anything else than they both start with "b".

correction they both start with "bl"  Shocked

meanwhile, mijin/Catapult is recorded at 4000+ tx/s
http://jp.techcrunch.com/2016/12/20/mijins-next-generation-core-catapult-records-4142-tps/

With the release of "Catapult" on the Japanese market, it will be obvious that blokcheyn NEM fastest and most reliable according to recent tests that they conducted. In the end we will have a quick transaction, a lot of them, and very Sylt protection against hacking, what else is needed for the economy now?

with catapult complete, the team can continue to work on business partnerships. This is what will ultimately grow the platform.

When a few companies fully sign-on and begin to use the platform, I think it can spread fairly quickly!

Thanks fragout.  This worked like a charm and I'm back in business.  I needed a "push" to navigate and delete.  Best regards to you.

I didnt know about this as i use the standalone client but pretty cool. Anyway of getting stats on how many use the feature?

NEM’s NanoWallet allows the purchase of XEM directly inside the wallet, using the practical Changelly Plugin.

Lon Wong confirmed as President of the open source NEM.io foundation?

It seems the NDA is lifted about details of the NEM.io foundation?  I think we might see press releases and the foundation website being made public soon.

This update about Lon Wong was 2 days ago and seems to coincide with the price rise.  The price increased after Lon Wong made an update on his Linkedin.

I think investors must be very bullish about Lon Wong.  Lon Wong's updates in June / July is what sent the marketcap racing upwards to $30-$120 million mktcap.  I think the smart investors are seeing it as a very positive sign that Lon Wong is now the leader of NEM.  Lon Wong seems to be the most qualified and best candidate for the position.

Keep in mind that wasn't a guarantee or an obvious fact in the preceding weeks, month or even year.  For a time it looked like Lon Wong had no interest in leadership and was instead doing his own thing at Dragonfly and other ventures.  Seeing the update about him being President was actually a surprise for me.   I didn't think Lon was interested because NEM Malaysia association chose Rene Bernard as their President.  Instead now we know Lon Wong is the President / Leader of NEM international.

I did some digging and the Foundation was apparently registered in December 2016.

Hmm. Interesting stuff. As ever, the coins that well and truly go places will have little or nothing to do with the usual shite that swirls around here. It'll be real people doing real things out in the big bad world.

As for the current creep up I think Poloniex is in a pumpy mood and that's about it. Even my dead tape worm would be pumped if it was on there.

Nope. Considerably more than that. Not too far off 100x. It ended 2015 around the 30-40 satoshi range and hit about 2800 at its absolute most bonkers in July.

Yup, it was covered in a thread about 2016 ROI.

I think it was a very interesting thread with good information but nobody seemed interested in keeping it bumped.  I think that thread should had been stickied as an announcement, IMHO.

Nope. Considerably more than that. Not too far off 100x.

Jan 1 2016 - Jan 1 2017 was around 2300%.

Yes if you look at the low and high then it was something like 100,000%.
