What does 'deprecated' mean, as used in the following wording taken from https://www.nem.io/install.html: NCC/NIS Installer (Deprecated)
The original NCC/NIS Installer. We suggest using Nanowallet, or NCC/NIS Standalone instead.
And why are the Nanowallet and NCC/NIS Standalone considered to better alternatives to the original NCC/NIS Installer? Thanks in advance for any replies  NanoWallet is developed with a newer and better technology. NCC is therefore considered to be the 'old' wallet. Deprecated indicates that at some point it will be replaced. There were some difficulties with the zip file i remember. I'm not sure why the installer is not recommended as alternative. |

I think NEM really needs to push to get a USD <--> fiat gateway such as Kraken.
We have JPY with Zaif and CNY at BTC38.
How does a coin like StellarLumens get on Kraken?

Yes, it is hard to decipher what is happening from the translation alone. I'm not sure why the installer is not recommended as alternative. @garp Thanks for your reply. presumably if I download and install either the Nanowallet or the NCC/NIS Standalone, they'll automatically find the relevant pre-exising Nem files on my hard drive? i.e. so that when I open the wallet I'll see my existing account and balance? |
