How private is harvesting?

I understand my keys are safe in both local and delegated harvesting (I think) but I am wondering how private network traffic is during this

Local harvesting: everything happens on your pc.
The only network traffic is broadcasting transactions and  blocks which are public information, no privacy needed.

Remote harvesting: you also need to send your delegated key to remote NIS.
You can do it via encrypted email or telegram to the node owner if you don't feel like sending it in cleartext trough the network.
I own two supernodes, you can message me on telegram: @rigelNEM

I put that graphic through google translate and for mijin it said "X company service block chain, Zen token. ex) Mijin" and the bubble below that "Y company service block chain, Zen token. Ex) Corda"

So I think it means that zen token can just exist on other blockchains. But I don't think mijin will be used to issue Zen tokens. At least I haven't seen any evidence for that.

to begin with,     CORDA is  "not" a Blockchain or a distributed ledger technology (DLT). Roll Eyes
no need to compare Corda with NEM/mijin . different structure
Corda it is more like a "shared ledger” platform not a "distributed ledger"

Fine, but that's beside my point. Mijin just seems to be another ledger in this graphic.

Maybe that was also that huge deal Lon mentioned that didn't work out?

Local harvesting demands running a local NIS, that is because local harvesting exposes the private key of the account to NIS and you don't want to do that in case of a remote NIS (which could be evil).
So, as others already said, delegated harvesting the better alternative, it is secure and has no disadvantages with regards to the amount you harvest.
What is a "remote NIS"?
So harvesting with my fully downloaded blockchain is unsafe? And harvesting with nanowallet is safer, altough i trust the blockchain of another server and not my own fully downloaded one?

A remote NIS simply is a NIS that is not running on your PC but on someone else's computer.
The term "safe" refers to the safety of your acount's private key. The private is needed to harvest since each harvested block needs to be signed.
But since the private key should never ever be sent across the internet, you cannot harvest with your main account's private key on a remote NIS.
NEM therefore has the concept of a delegated private key. The account belonging to the delegated key has a balance of 0 xem but the network recognizes the account as being allowed to harvest in the name of the main account. The delegated key may be sent to a remote NIS because an attacker basicly can do nothing with it. It therefore is safe to do so and you can use it to harvest on a remote NIS.

According to Jeff this was not the mentioned deal:
"Jeff:
Lon is on a NEM business trip today. Working hard as always.

I think BCCC is doing fine as far as I know. The deal Lon talked about was different."

So maybe we are lucky and they are using mijin? Let's see and wait

While making a NEM wallet on the nano wallet I see my options on simple, brain, and private key wallet. There is also options like Mainnet and Mijin.

I am pretty sure I should be on Mainnet for delegated harvesting. As for Simple wallet I see this message
Quote
"Please read about dangers that client side generated keys pose; we are not responsible for any loss that could be due to the entropy of key generation. Even if it is unlikely to happen, it is still recommended to use a private key generated from a NEM client (NCC)."

What is entropy of key generation? As for the ending saying to use a private key generated from an NCC would that be any different from just going with a private key wallet in the nano wallet?
