what's going on with XEM? big news but big dump too! BTC is rising, all alts are going down. Expect NEM rise once BTC stabilize at max 1850 or when btc starts to drop again. I expect XEM to cross 1000 sats this week. i think you meant 10 000 yes 10k sats probably in the coming 48 hours

Currently we have very few zero blocks. Look at the fees per block, it is at its highest level. NEM is very attractive nowadays for harvesting even with low balance as low as 100k. For that I expect NEM to rise cause it is safer and more profitable than mining. Miners lose money in hardware. With NEM the asset for harvesting is a balance that on its own gains value everyday. It is less likely that XEM will drop just for these simple reasons. If its not dropping so there is only one way to go "UP". I think this week is gonna be interesting to watch anyways.

Hi all,two questions from me. I notice people are mentioning hard wallet for xem, will trezor or nano s implement it? Other thing is do you think that 15 xem for transaction is not to much?At current price its almost 1.7$ and what if nem goes to 1$,we ll pay 15$ for every transaction?

It seems someone is trying to catch with the current STR rising wave. The good news is STR investors value NEM. Usually NEM rise with STR with the same rate if not more. If STR is rising and NEM is falling, usually this is a very good time to buy XEM. If STR crosses 3k to 3.5k sats within the coming 48 hours be sure that XEM price will double. Check the charts back in May 7th and 8th you will find the same exact pattern. Good Luck buying XEM before STR shadow waves are gonna hit

I follow NEM from the first time on, but go to compare Ripples 24h volume with XEM 24 volume... At the moment XEM has no chanche against ripple... If you try to sell a lot of ripple, you will find a buyer, if you try to sell some XEM the price will fall because there are not many buyers (=low interest...). If you will keep a currency for long therm, i think you are right with buying xem I still hold the opinion that Nem is great but it has a sloppy or a non-existent marketing team. Yes, here you're right 100%!!! That's why i have leaved NEM some years ago... nobody cares about

Erm, that's why no one should leave. Long term the only way is up as more and more people catch on.

Transaction fee 0,01% of transaction amount with minimum fee of 1XEM and maximum of 25XEM so for transactions up to 10000XEM fee is 1XEM This fee structure was set about 3 months ago when price was much lower You are talking about Poloniex withdrawal fee which NEM cant influence

So for those of you who are really experienced buying/selling/trading, I'm using Litecoin as an example, but can anyone tell me if this is correct?
Lets say I bought 10,000 litecoins 5 years ago. I sat on those coins for a few years and decide I want to cash them out today, all $240,000 usd worth. I make an account at an exchange, say poloniex. They welcome my 10,000 LTC deposit with open arms, and I promptly exchange them for bitcoins.
Now I have $240,000 worth of BTC, roughly 137 of them. I want to transfer to coinbase so I can convert to usd. Now what? poloniex has a withdraw limit of $2,000 usd per day though. So I'm stuck doing $2000 btc withdraws to coinbase for the next 120 days? Ok say I verify now it's 10k per day. Now it'll only take me 24 days of withdrawls at 10k. All the while the price is fluctuating like mad. is this correct? or can I transfer the entire 137 btc amount at once from polo to my coinbase btc wallet?
So it finally gets to coinbase. Now I have to verify some more and say I'm at 25k per withdrawl. I still have to wait another 10 days of 25k withdrawls to get my money out of coinbase.
Is this really how it works? Nobody lets you withdraw your money at once or in large chunks?

Pretty much. Unless you find an OTC deal. There are brokers out there who'll put you together with a buyer. There won't be any limits. It is indeed a ludicrous process via the usual routes.
If I had a substantial amount to cash out I wouldn't go anywhere near an exchange. They might freeze you and demand more documents, or just fall apart before you get all your money out.

with all the focus on XRP and STR (XLM), NEM will miss the train or not ?
If a lot of companies choose xrp and str as blockchain, others will also choose this 2 blockchain instead of nem right ?
I think we need a big news to launch nem to the new ATH

XEM is not just a short term play. There is a true base being built here so value is not derived just off of short term news although I would like to see another spike as well

Yeah even Coinbase has a daily USD withdrawal limit. Withdrawal limits will be a major bottleneck when cashing out so getting them raised to the highest amount possible is a first step if you want to cash out. Poloniex allows $25k/day at level 3 but will allow higher limits upon request. Coinbase has up to 1mill/day options. FYI, you can sell LTC for USD at Coinbase now via their GDAX exchange.
