NEM is about the only crypto with a high TPS solution as i understand it
Bitcoin - 3 tps Ripple - 1000 tps Ethereum - 25 tps Paypal - 115 tps VISA and MasterCard handle over 2000 tps combined, and up to as many as 4000 tps on peak days. The current NEM chain is capped at 5 tps The NEM Catapult end-to-end prototype has been independently tested by third parties at over 4000 tps.

Does anyone else have problems with Poloniex ? Transactions to/from are delaying XXX hours Same delay with ticket handling - what is the "hot line" to solve the slowness ?

There's no hotline per se, but you can try chatting with the moderators in the troll box, they're usually quite responsive and can escalate if you're experiencing issues.

With its current price today, it's so tempting to buy more XEM . How are the development here? Catapult? C++ coding?
Its making good progress. Last news we had was transactions were hitting about 1300TPS! C++ could be 2 - 4 times faster than Javascript ( https://attractivechaos.github.io/plb/ ) but maybe in Catapult is other improvements too ?

Thanks for sharing! I carefully read the review and there are some legit doubts but also arguments I disagree. "A number of details about the NEM solution remain unclear at this"Legit point. " The NEM technology hasn’t been substantially updated for quite a while now." I have already complained this, too. However there have been several delays in history of NEM but the devs have always been delivered and there is currently a lot of work on the Catapult release which will bring NEM forward. "As a final point, NEM does not convincingly stand up to its competitors when it comes to enterprise-level solutions."I disagree. A lot of Asian companies have tested NEM software so far. Some even use NEM in production.

The main thing for me is the ongoing lack of action with the main chain and how it interacts with the private ones. It's all well and good saying the private ones can interact with the main chain. I'd like more reasons as to why they'd want to.

I'd like more reasons as to why they'd want to. Your ultimate question being, it's all well and good if the private chains do well, but how does this impact NEM as a currency? I'm curious as well of course. Additionally some transparency on when Catapult might be released would be valuable as well. Generally it's been a quiet week in crypto after the weekend's volatility-I'm surprised things have settled down so much. Makes me think a big move is in the works. Which way is anyone's guess...

I'd like more reasons as to why they'd want to. The only way a private permissioned chain can have immutability is by linking to a public decentralized chain. There are going to be use cases where only a permissioned chain will work, some where only a decentralized chain will work, and many where both are required. The NEM/Mijin platform will be able to address all of these demands.

the fact that nem/mijin/catapult integration will perform so many more transactions per second than any other technology is what will ultimately make xem the preferred trading currency as opposed to bitcoin, ethereum, and litecoin... so instead of purchasing bitcoins to trade with people will be purchasing xem!
does this make sense? correct me if i'm wrong.

C++ will help to reduce hardware requirements which is always good but the real TPS power comes from NEMs/Catapults architecture.

I was waiting weeks for full level 2 verification, it was only after I bugged the mods, that my verification was accepted on the same day after they helped get the ticket escalated.

Here are two useful tutorials on official NEM blog. https://blog.nem.io/how-to-use-delegated-harvesting/https://blog.nem.io/how-local-and-delegated-harvesting-works/You need to consider that your success in harvesting highly depends on the NEM amount you have and on your importance. If both are low it could last some time to find a block. And then, it could be that there are no Txs in the block so you do not get any reward. This happens to me several times. Mostly one two years ago, when NEM had much less transactions per day but it still could happen. i cant seem to get delegated harvesting to work. is there a good tutorial that is recent? i think i've done everything correctly but have not harvested anything in weeks and my balance is pretty significant.
thanks!
