Engate Uses NEM Blockchain to Support Athletes’ Dreams to Participate in Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

Engate is a Japanese start-up that employs Bitcoin, Ethereum, and NEM engineers to create NEM-token-technology based mass-market sports entertainment. Since it announced its launch on October 20th, Engate has been the talk of the sports/blockchain world with coverage from Nikkei, TechCrunch, and Cryptocurrency journals after both major and minor teams announced their participation at a press conference held on October 9, 2018.

Yes, there is records of such talks in this thread. I won't look through the hundreds of pages but you can search for it if you want proof of these talks.

And why would super node owners dump millions? Why would the program end in a second? Why wouldn't devs think of gradually changing to other types of node requirements while keeping the super node program alive? Why wouldn't super node owners just create more nodes from what they already have in NEM and possibly gain more profit sharing?

See what I did there?  Cool

We need clarification from devs, speculation in this thread means nothing unless it is coming from leadership team.

If supernode rewards abruptly end there will likely be a mass liquidation as supernode operators all rush to get out before the market collapses, the proportion of XEM locked up in supernodes is massive, and the incentives to keep those funds and run nodes when the reward program ends will be minimal, I predict if nothing happens there will be a mass exodus from otherwise happy XEM hodlers.

Maybe devs are trying to avoid what could be seen as unfair trading advantages to certain groups.

Why not just format the post in a professional manner and quit all this moon talk.

It would look much better for NEM community if we try to give some sort of professionalism.

Currently Dubai has a mandate of Blockchain 2020...all Dubai govt offices should be blockchain powered by year 2020...and UAE Blockchain 2021...

If i'm not mistaken UAE 2021 goal is atleast 70% of govt offices is blockchain powered in whole UAE.

All of the different govt offices are on the move to learn and create something on the blockchain now. Currently Hyperledger is the majority's choice of platform and we're lucky and blessed that an adviser to the Prime Minister's Office took notice of NEM.

We can build upon this relationship and success, with the next stage being other depts within the Dubai government using the NEM Blockchain, and furthermore on a wider scale the UAE Governments also using the NEM Blockchain.  Good to see that SE Asia, Japan and the United Arab Emirates are progressive and embracing Blockchain.

this is really interesting. 2020 is almost around the corner and even 2021 is not so far.
Do they choose to use nem's blockchain?

This can be a lot for this community..

This is wise decision to buy at low price and this strategy is still working to generate big profit. But I don't think fell down it is now getting stable on the bottom floor and after accumulation will be done it will make its way back to the moon.

Lon Wong @ProximaXio - I wouldn't blindly give advise without fully understanding the nature of the project. Looking ahead, it is imperative that any new project should take cognizance of what's coming in 6 months' time with catapult.
Important decisions should be well weighed out in order to get the best of NEM and do the least in terms of effort.
The Catapult will change a lot of things for the better. For example, at ProximaX, we spent at least  3 months on NIS1, completed the development of our SDK and then decided to go straight to Catapult instead of continuing to develop on NIS1 as Catapult is much better, and faster tx, too. In addition, NIS1 is limited in its capabilities compared to Catapult.

 - Careful, you just gave everyone a 6 months eta. People are now once again gonna be all up in arms if it doesn't hold. Won't be me, but their here.

Lon Wong @ProximaXio - They can be here or anywhere. It does not matter. ProximaX has been working on the catapult. It works and it is going along smoothly. Only the speculators are wanting. Anyone reasonably skilled will know what the current private catapult is made of  and how powerful it is. That's what we are doing at proximax. And I was clear to ask Mikko what he wanted to do before jumping into it.
Not a funeral for sure. Smiley

Looks good news on development progress of NEM project.
This news, together with the price chart like this (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nem/), might combine to boost the NEM price sooner or later.
No one knows when NEM move, but it will move upwards surely.
