I had hope I find some more info there on bitcointalk, but it seems I have to look for it in another place, anyway I treat NEM as lost investment now - I remember that Catapult was initially planned to be released in May 2017 (!).. and we are 2years ahead and

That was actually  a question. I get this info about NEM swap to new blockchain from trusted member of our local NEM community,

Let's see what happens with the Catapult upgrade supposedly towards the end of the year before giving up completely. If that does nothing to spark interest then I reckon it's going to sink into permanent obscurity.

The actual development has always been very steady. The problem is that it's been closed source which I think is the cause of much of its eternal invisibility. Being closed source has been a giant mistake. If you can't mine it or fiddle with it then there's little left to inspire you get involved.

That is of course changing now but we'll have to see whether it's too late.

A bunch of Filipinos doing fuck all with foundation money other than milking it hasn't helped either of course.

If there is to be a proper pump on the basis of renewed interest then it could mean a proper turnaround in its perception. So far the biggest pump by far was on the basis of a bunch of morons and bots misinterpreting that Wechat news.

XEM is just a pesky coin that is always cheap and very fast in a week, it can go down to 500 at the beginning of 1500, now up to 1000, this is very sad.
