I am trying it on both my s3's what I don't see is the"add get block num in MinerStatus " thingy anybody else see it Huh?

another piece of crap from BITMAIN well I will know if is at least stable in 1 to 4 hours!!!

I hope it don't drop to 50 GH/s again!!

I cant believe the put the crappy buggy messy old firmware back up. This newest one is based on that and I think its crappy as well we will see.

they should change the kernel rom it is old to!!!!!

I don't want to get the S5 when it comes out its will be another blunder by bitmain!!!

Just received two S+ batch 11's that had the 11/26 firmware on them.  Problems I had were:

1)  Each unit would not exceed 250GH/S.
2)  After a random amount of time rate would drop to between 20-50GH/S and stay there no matter what pool/balance I put them on.
3)  Random boards/chips going to 'x'.

I flashed back to 10/24 and now I'm getting 450GH/S consistently without any 'x'.  Definitely seems the 10/24 firmware is solid from a performance/stability perspective.

Just the bad one is removed.

Wrong again dogie.... Roll Eyes

All the firmware releases are clearly there if you look at the web page correctly.

Who's going to try first?

Absolutely not me!  Cheesy

This latest firmware came up a bit too quick, so I'm pretty sure they haven't tested it at all. Again.

I think they're paying him to post on everybody else's threads except bitmains........ Cheesy Cheesy

This is not a thread I monitor, I only hop in and out.

Aren't you supposed to be here to provide support?

Not for all products, no. Its other staff's job to monitor this thread (even if they don't post).

It really makes no difference what time I post. The simple fact is, you said the firmware had been removed. It clearly has not.

Well, the firmware was actually removed from the site at some stage, just that it has now been re-uploaded (I guess when the latter Nov 2014 release was ready).

It is just mind-boggling for bitmain to re-upload the clearly broken / buggy / useless fimware back into public domain. I just can not fathom any usefulness / value this has or can have for the user. For bitmain, of-course, this can spike sales for replacement boards when users have bricked their original ones.

Agreed, all of the firmware was removed yesterday and put back at some point last night.  Either way, I now have a brick unit that I can not access LUCI...

I only flashed 2 S3 and 1 S3+ rig with the Dec 16th firmware. It flashed ok (ie: within 3 mins) and showed the login page once it was finished.

This version seems more stable than the Oct and Nov firmware. As far as overall performance, it did not have those massive 700 GHS spikes or the deep lows below 100 GHS. However, i get a better average hash rate using the Aug 25th firmware. So, I switched back to the Aug 26th firmware.

Not sure I am following OK ..... so the Aug 25th firmware is where you achieve a better hashrate than the Dec (or Nov) releases, BUT you switched back to the Aug 26th firmware ... !? In any case, is there both Aug 25th and Aug 26th firmwares?

I do NOT have one of those orbs that you look into to see the future, but if you get in touch with bitmain, they will replace your board, shipped by UPS (their cheaper logisitcs partner), that for a handsome amount. And you are not alone.

I heard back from Bitmain Warranty. They're wanting me to pay 0.18985 btc for one S3 control board. <snip> ... </snip>

Anyone that updated to the new Dec. firmware, under advanced settings is the default voltage listed or blank like the Nov. firmware?  If it's listed, what is the default speed?  If not, and you can putty in, what's the default speed listed?
thanks,

Right, thanks. So there we have it - it's yet another pile of crap firmware from bitmain?....... Roll Eyes

Factory reset works fine for me. Stable no 20 GH/s drop after 1-4 hours but we will see after 24 hours to really make sure.
