Tried to buy XMG on two separate exchanges. I bought on YoBit (should've read the thread more) and obviously can't withdraw. I also bought on TradeSatoshi though since it was allegedly working based on what I read, but I can't withdraw from there either.

I can't use nova as I'm in Canada, so am I SOL for buying Magi for a while? I just want to get a hold of more coins to increase my staking yield and now have 400 XMG in limbo and I know it's not really in the devs direct control, but if anyone has any suggestions they'd be more than appreciated!

I wonder how many of your copies of, for example, passport, ID or driver's license have been handed over to exchanges with all the data on it
Because a citizen service number or tax number can still do some illegal business and damage your life.
they force us to make a perfect copy without watermark or an adaptation of a citizen service number and sent it to a 3rd party who will view and save these documents and nobody knows where and who that is and under what laws they have to work.

The good ones are registered with their local governments and use government authorized 3rd party providers to Authenticate your ID.

If you join an exchange In the E.U. (Nova Exchange for example) all your info should be protected under EU laws and data protection regulations.

I believe that a perfect photo of an id. passport or driver's license is not required (without any watermarks), but there is certainly no citizen service number or Social Security number required for this.
Yes I don't trust anyone on the internet and certainly not when it comes to money, i don't know them and they can tell anything but who tells me it is true.
Every time Exchanges say you can trust us everything is in good hands, but how many are already "hacked" (they say), but every time we keep sending our private data.
I must say that Novaexchange has done everything they can to try the verification without citizen service number, social security number or tax numbers, becoz the dont really need it (Great service Novaexchange) , But Bittrex is holding coins "high jacking them" and enforce existing customers with a basic account to give them a ID otherwise you dont get your coins back.
If the rules change then there are 2 choices: you agree and comply with the rules or you stop because you do not agree and you leave.
If you create a new account then you should comply with the rules of that company, but if you do business with a company that changes the rules in the meantime and force you to participate, otherwise you will not get the coins back is outright scandalous.

Watch out for trading on Yobit.
Yobit is on the wrong XMG chain, they never updated their wallet.
So you can not deposit nor withdraw your Magi coins from Yobit.
Be warned again!
You can buy or sell magi on yobit, but the coins stay on yobit forever.
(or get lost when they decide to update their wallet)

Thanks for the info, but I gotta be honest, I have no clue how to do it.

Just go in, make yourself an account, go into balances, make a deposit wallet for XMG.
Then be sure you first make yourself an account level 3, Verified Nova trader.
After that you should send a few Magi from your wallet to your deposit wallet for XMG on Nova.
If you see them arrive, in deposits/arrivals, you can send more.  (or first sell these few Magi)
Actually it's so simple!
