It usually transpires that the free-time is due to unemployment and the desperation is due to poverty.

I'd be very surprised if this guy even had 25 BTC let alone 250 BTC.

That's a big kind of profit if that happens, maybe the key here to make the right decision in trading is just to be a risk taker, and not just listen to the trolls who are telling bad about monero, I get it that the price is not good right now but we have not drop yet below 0.01, so I realize there's still a chance to see a big pump in the future.

I've been monitoring 10 different searches on AB since the launch 7/10 have seen an increase. 4/10 categories have roughly doubled the offerings since launch.

So than you can deliver sources and numbers for us what you are monitoring that everyone here can check this numbers? So please tell us what are these 10 categories you are monitoring.

Strange that even AB say's that not many vendors uses XRM. In every categorie XRM has something between only 0-8%. So im really intererested in your numbers.

Zcash and its impact on the XMR price. There are some futures out, which value Zcash over 50 USD! That means for me, there is a lot of "demand" for anontech and XMR is way undervalued!
Zcash inflation will be insane in the first 1-2 years, while XMR inflation is going strongly down, plus some updates for XMR will make it stronger then Zcash, which has Anon only as option, but default is not anon.

Due to the massive hype around zcash I originally thought we would see a bloodbath in monero, but that was before the futures marked priced it as high as 0.2 BTC. Now I'm not so sure. If this price ends up being the starting price when zcash is added to exchanges it will seem very overpriced, with little upside. Everyone and their grandma wants in on this thing, but at these outrageous prices I wouldn't be surprised if they start buying other anonymous coins like zcoin, monero etc... Similar to the altcoin frenzy we had during the massive bitcoin bubble of 2013. People thinking it's expensive buy the undervalued coins in the same industry.

But ya, sparky999 must be right aswell as you his followers who still have the dream for the big hit but cannot deliver any argument except "XMR is great, buy it".
I guess that's the reason why the coin is now at something ~0.0100 -totally opposite what most people here were praying all the time. Espeacially TrueCrypt who said it is at 10.000$....the never ending loser story

Just put in Google to list you top and most respected dark markets and you will see which are.  But as I stated many times it is of no importance. Yes it is important that AB is strong and respective but sooner or latter most other markets will follow.  XMR is there to grab for  them.


In generally there is way to much bla bla about dark markets here anyway. And mainly because of you. Yes, is was sort of a recent news. But this is something minor in Monero. It definitely dont deserve 2/3 of speculation thread.

Yes, Monero will be worth 10 000 usd each sooner or later but not today or even in 2016. 10 000 usd/xmr price tag is not impossible but the timeline of hours/a few months is unrealistic.
The shorters period it need to reach that price is 3-4 years - and that requires also skyrocketing and some mad money. More realistic view of achieving 10 000 usd/xmr is 10-20 years. It took 10-20 years for internet to break through so please give Monero also some years.

I guess that's a long wait but worth a shot, buy then if we are talking of that substantial growth, what would be the price of bitcoin then. With your prediction, it made me realize that I should also consider XMR and now is its lowest price maybe... So let's see, gonna grab some later for 10-20 years holding.

Indeed it is.
The price was 0.004 for the early adopters (summer 2014). The inflation was so strong that some might even talk about hyperinflation.
Later comers got the best deal after the FUD storm of bitcoinexpress as the price drop to sub 0.001 levels (I was lucky to catch around 30 XMR under 0.001).
Now the price is around twice as much it was in summer 2014 but the inflation is in control now and it gets lower and lower.
10-20 years is something I would consider a goal and after that the growth will stagnate IMO. Then there critical mass has been achieved I would assume.

20 years is really a long time in terms of software engineering, so I would not expect that Monero still exists in 20 years in its current manner. I think good software will succeed in the end, so I'm holding my Moneros as long as necessary (long term investment 2-5 years).

Regarding the zCash hype: I think a lot of people will loose a lot of money in the the first weeks of the zCash launch (every bubble bursts in some time). So I will stay away from zCash. Although it's not a design contest, but the zCash GUI looks really ugly

But Monero is much more than a software. It is a digital currency. The rate of change will stagnate as well... In the beginning we see the largest changes taking place, later changes are just fine tuning (like SD cards - in the beginning they were a big thing but later the only thing that changes is the size of the card).

I think there will be new applications for block chain, Monero but I do not consider them as threaths to the existence of Monero. Just like Etherium is not a rival to Monero but it fills a niche that Monero or bitcoin cannot fill anyway.

We will need a serious proper solution to scaling for that to ever happen. Way way more than just an adaptive block size, database optimization and pruning.

90% of the people here claim since 0.02x XMR will rise. Since that the price dropped more than a half. And it will drop even more. The most funny thing is that people here celebrate a slowdowntrend. It is still a downtrend and they still lost more than 50% of their capital.  There is nothing to celebrate. And when some people here say either the price will drop they get ignored or insulted.

For me that doesn't matter. It just motivates me to deliver more fundementals I receive enough PM's every day by people who just don't want to argue with crazy people who claim XMR at 10.000$ in more than 20 years
