I was surprised no one did - only posted as it was so damn quiet and yet the good news is piling up out there.  Gotta love XMR, been smiling like an idiot rather often of late.

No volume on Kraken yet, I did check...  I would put some coins up at silly prices, but I can't bear selling any

This is awesome... IMHO Kraken all by itself or plus maybe just one more decent size exchange (coinbase maybe if they actually LISTEN to Fluffy???) will be more than enough to push us up into 3rd place market cap.

That's impressive. 2916,30% rise in just one year, wow. Unfortunately I wasn't into crypto world in the beginning of the 2016. Now I wish I bought XMR with as much money as I could afford. So, did some people from here earn big money with Monero?

2016 was a fantastic year for me. We all do this for different reasons...me to enjoy life and help family. I was able to give a substantial cash wedding gift to my son, buy a new 2016 F150, go on a Caribbean Cruise, go to all-inclusive Cuban resort, and invest in an online sports stock market. If that comes through I will be retired in 2017. All thanks to XMR...here's hoping!

I am also looking for retirement this year or in 2018. My father will be retired from being a member in the rat race slavery. He lost his physical health to the work.. And he is worth around 1 million euros.
My goal/aspiration is to be retired before him - I am 31 yrs. this year, my father will be 62.

If I am not succesful with Cryptonite, I will try to do it with real estate and appartment investing.

EDIT: I am expecting the appearence of Aminorex any time soon now. Monero is approaching his "cheap coins" -target.

I think in USD terms we're over Aminorex's target.  And if he pops in, he'll be most welcome - he was into XMR before it was listed anywhere.

Guys, market cap now is srsly "only" about 10 or 20 million $ fiat away from popping us up over both litecoin and (stupid) ripple... XMR at $216M and both of them at #3/#4 at about $230M

Combined with all the incoming media attention about HoneyBadger breaking back up over $1,000 --- news media attention about a brand-new THIRD PLACE "better bitcoin than bitcoin" our good old favorite dark-horse HONEY PONY, coming out NOW, would be absolutely epic...!!!!

It does to me =) great news for XMR - if the bitcoin bubble bursts and Alts are pumped, then it puts XMR in an extremely strong position!

XMR would make a lot of sense for Coinbase, given their support for bigger blocks.  Brian Armstrong could use it to make another political statement, same way they did with Ethereum.  Could do it right before the Satoshi Roundtable and really play up that angle.

However, I wonder if the privacy aspect could cause them KYC concerns.

Shame Kraken messed up their blog post and are talking about the HF being on 5th January. I emailed them to correct this, and got automated response (may take 48hrs to get back etc), but perhaps one of the devs who is in direct contact with them can give them a nudge and get it corrected as soon as possible

If they're smart about it, they could just play it off to the IRS like, "Oh yeah gee well sorry 'bout that but y'know it's just sort of out of our control, right?  I mean, yeah sure of course we'd LOVE to help ya out here and keep tracking all our customers transactions beyond just the first hop like we've been doin' for y'all so far with bitcoin, but gee wow looks like now, too bad, but it's just sort of not possible to do that anymore, what with this new improved Monero coin that we just kinda sorta have to support now, for our customers, just 'cuz, well y'know, market-demanding it type reasons... right, buddy?  Really gee would love to help ya out here, but wow just can't do it, so... sorry for your loss, I guess"... LOL
