I read a lot of good things about the Nano Ledger S and they are planing monero support.

Is there anything wrong with it?

Not at all. I use both Trezor and Nano S and they are both very good hardware wallets. I have a personal preference for Trezor since I bought one of the first ones but really you may as well save $35 and buy the Nano S. Both will serve you well.

Which ever you choose remember that hardware breaks so buy a spare. Over the years I have had one Trezor quit working. No problems with Nano S so far. You will see Monero support on Ledger before Trezor it is already on their roadmap.

Hey anyone know if/when we should expect the GUI to have added language support done, particularly CHINESE??

Aminorex posted a comment in a ZeroHedge article yesterday (plugging Monero to the folks over there) and made a good point: unless and until the GUI has chinese support I don't think we'll see any big pile-in to XMR from China.

Especially now with the PBOC looking to crack down on bitcoin, same as in the USA with the IRS sniffing around coinbase, it is looking more and more lately like actual real normal people are gonna NEED to start using Monero instead of -- or at least in addition to -- bitcoin.  

IMHO this more than anything else will drive usage and price appreciation.

So, there's gonna be some time yet to accumulate "cheap moneroj" at least up to when the chinese version of the GUI is available... but is there any time frame, ETA, for *when* we can expect to see that?

P.S. If someone can do the work for this, I'd personally contribute to a FFS to get it done ASAP.  It's important.

As far as I can tell, support for other languages (including chinese) already exists in github. I suspect the reason that they have not been released yet is because they want to sort out all the existing bugs - large and small - in the GUI. Once the bugs are fixed then support for other languages will likely be released. It's hard enough trying to answer question/issues/queries regarding the beta GUI in English. Can you imagine trying to answer them in another language(s)?

Zcoin has nothing on Monero. Please post somewhere else. All of you are here only to make profit in bitcoins by hyping Zcoin which is being built and developed by 2 Asians of questionable capabilities and intentions in the community. The Monero developers and contributers are here for the research and to see if it is possible to scale an anonymous cryptocoin with the use of the technology available to them.

The way Monero is behaving in the exchanges is showing bad signs. It looks like it has decoupled from bitcoin and if bitcoin starts moving and Monero price stays the same or go down against fiat that would mean a trend down is forthcoming. I am getting scared.

Edit - Sorry, but it's never been "coupled" with btc. it's moved the opposite more often than not. If you are in for the short term, you are bound to get #rekt, sorry.

I would disagree with you.  Over the last three years XMR has basically behaved like all the other alts and its value judged against BTC has moved appropriately as BTC's value has moved.  When XMR has changed its own inherent value ie its value against USD, this has provided a different value against BTC.

These sorts of relationships have become more tenuous since before the Christmas period and XMR seems to have become more reliant on sentiment (as pointed out by Kurious).

Over the last week we have seen XMR value being hammered from all sides (see my post a couple of pages back) and not even responding to improved sentiment. 

What scares me is that no-one here seems to see the beating and are trotting out 'cultist' stuff about having blind faith -- the BTC wall observer thread has been doing this for years now, I thought we were better than that.
