hate to tell it to you but no one can predict the markets.

but 140 is possible since -10% and +10% can happen within hours in cryptoworld
just make sure to check from time to time so you can sell when you hit your target profit or sell if you think it is going further down

yeah exactly monero is showing a great and promising future a head i have brought some of the coins when its price is almost $30 and now it has reached a milestone in last 3 to 4 month and i hope that it will rise a much more in the future. monero is the coin which is likely to be $200 at the end of this year and the year in the great for it.

I think during these times, the best strategy is to hold.
If it were to look back at history, time tells it will be a dump.
However, xmr was way undervalued, so this could be a special case of pure skyrocketing and traders and shorters will get awesomely rekt.

Yup, it's truley gambling right now to play this market and I'm a gambler but I don't like the odds of selling and watching the spike you missed. Been there done that and it hurts.

Yup, it's truley gambling right now to play this market and I'm a gambler but I don't like the odds of selling and watching the spike you missed. Been there done that and it hurts.

Past experience has taught us there is usually always a big dump after such a rapid increase in price. But i for one, am far too emotionally attached to monero to risk trading anymore, i now only look long term. Many times i have regretted not selling some after a rise in order to buy more back cheaper, but every single time monero has gone on to reach higher highs in the long term. I think if you are not in desperate need of funds then just sit tight. I always sleep well holding monero even when the price is falling as the technology remains a game changer.

Nope, but the actual 'hour' trading opens was not unspecified, I think.  Someone on here posted it may be 00.00 (midnight Sunday) - but on the schematic they put out earlier a time was not shown.

Now it says (confusingly):  Listing day of Monero ~ August 30, 2017 (Sun) Midnight

The 30th is now the trading opening, then (but it's not Sunday)  looks like a sloppy change, where they changed the date, left the day of the week the same.

After bithumb its price will be going up sharply. I decided to buy some monero on bittrex before it gets on Bithumb. We can see 1 monero is equal to 0.1 bitcoin very soon at the beginning of 2018.

As far as I can tell, it is when the trading period begins for those who deposited. Looks like I was right and it will begin today at 8PM PST / 11PM EST (which would be Mon Noon for them, when the 'Deposit Period' ends) -
 though I did post the possibility it would be Mon 00:00 but looks like it coincides with the deposit period close. Be ready!

The whole point of the 'deposit period' is it gets recorded at the end and those who had Monero in their on-exchange accounts will get 1% bonus deposited at a later time.

It is not specified whether when the deposit period ends and when trading begins, whether or not exchange will no longer accept Monero from the outside - however this is unlikely as I'll point out.

Gambling has a good deal of psychological impact, especially when you introduce player versus player in a more direct sense like we have seen here with these crazy volume pump and dumps.  Put simply, when one of them runs out of Monero because they got outwitted by the market (called the top too early, etc), the gambling FOMO aspect kicks in. Now, the reasonable individual resists this, takes their winnings/cuts losses and leaves. However the unreasonable individual (and I dont know how many there are, but there are a few - and throw in the community/cultural aspect of this) will want to get some more play in. This therefore translates to either them buying back in on the exchange at a possible loss (insane volatility) or seeking more from elsewhere - off exchange - ie more demand - price goes up. Bitthumb has a great incentive to continue to allow deposits during the trading period - more Monero flowing in - probably all week.

More flowing in - more demand for Monero - higher price plain and simple. On top of that of course is the insane trading/dog-eat-dog/gambling that will be ocurring, also driving up the price (see BCH earlier this month)

Right now? I said it before and I'll say it again - they are shaking the weakhands harder and harder as the deadline approaches. I mean, just look at this buy orders on polo. There was some yesterday and last night, but only 2K XMR worth of demand. They are shaking the weak holders, to then buy on the cheap before the real pump happens (and they already have the xmr on-hand)

Remember tho - the trading starts Mon Noon for them, but goes until Thursday - expect serious highs followed by drops then rises again etc. The main event though - the "Bingham King Trader" event is this next coming weekend for them (essentially the 48 hours of Sat and Sun) and the trading measured then will be what determines their prizes - status, etc.

Of course this is just my understanding and analysis. I would appreciate another set of eyes and thoughts though!
