This is not like an automatic process, but prices are moving towards each other on different exchanges. It is called arbitrage, meaning traders buy on one market and sell on another, to gain on the difference in price. If the usd price is higher on bithumb, then it could mean an enormous demand, OR it could mean that the koreans do not consider their KRW as much valuable as the 'official' dollar price of the KRW. |

Bithumb is the majority market in the world for all coins it lists except bitcoin, so yes i would expect the price to follow bithumb |
