I am sorry if this has been asked before but does Monero have lightening network support for atomic swaps?

Come on. Monero is lighting years away from Lightining networks.   Monero is developed 3 years. Bitcoin is developed 9 years. There is also way more money in Bitcoin development.   Monero is currentlly trying to get multisig, that was available on Bitcoin years ago. But this dont mean atomic swaps will not be available with Monero.

Since this is the speculastio0n thread..

Anyone else noticed the price is creeping up nicely?  We have picked up value since yesterday's low (in USD) of circa $121 and now we're pushing up towards $130.   Monero is being acquired steadily out there and looking bullish  Wink

Actually Bitcoin multisig is kind of simplistic and easy. It's just a literal list of possible signers. Bytecoin did something similarly dumb years ago but it was totally incompatible with Cryptonote privacy, so what's the point? Monero's multisig is a lot more sophisticated where the number of signers doesn't change the size of the transaction, it doesn't change the verification time, it works perfectly with ring signatures (and of course RingCT) and it isn't distinguishable from regular transactions on the blockchain.

Nevertheless I agree there is a lot more money in Bitcoin development and that any kind of Monero lightning network is far off.

Just hit $132, it'll be interesting to see if it has another bull run before the year is up.

We've had several pumps with higher highs and higher lows (in bitcoin terms).
I'm not expecting such a tidy pattern of cyclical volatility to continue.
And since I'm not expecting it...

Slowly but surely up all day.

I'm sure there will be a decent sized dump soon as there usually is and we'll be back to regular viewing.

If you have the official GUI wallet or the CLI then use the "ALL" button or "Sweep All" command. That clears the wallet and deducts the necessary transaction fee leaving you with a balance of zero.

With the CLI wallet:
https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/1687/can-i-specify-a-payment-id-when-using-the-sweep-all-command

In the Monero support thread you are likely to get a quicker response to these kind of questions:

Not sure about where this goes... BUT - every now and again BTC and XMR have both risen together.

See the turn of last year?  If you hold both, as I do - then this is perfect, usually one hedges the other, when they both go up?  Boom!

Ladies and Gentlemen; this might just be one of those moments.

An adjustment in Monero's price in spite of a near ATH BTC level.

Bliss.

There are people in this thread who have lost more value in dust and misplaced private keys than you will ever see in total in your entire miserable life.

Not to mention the vasty deep losses in boating accidents.

I was on a boat between Maui and Molokai last week.  I foolishly leaned over the edge and *ploop*.  My cryptosteel went down to the depths.

When will I learn?

ROTFLMFAO!!! well at least you didn't take it boating then stuff it in your safe and in 5 years find that it had corroded beyond readability!

Just tatoo it on your tongue.  Make sure to do it reversed, to better read it in the mirror.  Shouldn't be that hard.

Back of the ball sack is more hidden and who want to look there anyway. Cheesy
Gotta pay the tatto artist with a big TIP though, make sure it's a girl. Tongue

I know it's been in the talks but whether its in the timeline i don't know, sorry. Check Getmonero.org

Oh yeah I noticed, happens everytime Polo fucks me out of a long position, cocksuckers.

Maybe $100? Tough to say, but I doubt we will see less than $85 territory again for any protracted time.

Really hard to tell where Monero could go price wise, but I heard today that Arab states want to hide money and if they put it into Monero (or any alt) the price would rise incredibly due to the limited supply and liquidity. I do need to get some Monero, because it's the type of thing that would happen, this is crypto after all! I can see Monero over $1000 in the next 1-2 years.
Honestly, I'm really not all that surprised to hear this; with the anonymity, privacy, and lack of reversibility it would make a very good currency for a rogue country (that or perhaps they're already using cryptocurrencies and we just don't know). Regardless, if this was the case it'd sure be good for Monero's market cap.

Its a tricky one. A bit chicken and egg. They need to have confidence it will be around for the long term. It could be a cascade effect if that belief begins to be adopted. Not sure the general crypto pump and dump is really helping with this confidence level.
