Poloniex is well established and had XMR for a solid amount of time.
I am not as familiar with hitBTC, so hard for a comparison, sorry.

Everybody still hodling? We could go back to sub 100 usd  using xmr as collateral to go long on even more xmr as usual averaging down as usual believing in monero as usual so just the usual so ofc i hodl |

Is there a practical difference between using Polo and HitBTC? I don't plan on being a very high frequency trader; I'm mostly in this for the long run. I just want to make a big initial purchase and then adjust sporadically with buys or sells. Is there for me any benefit in choosing one over the other?
Now you have plenty exchanges trading Monero. Not sure why you mention just this two, but if you pick between those two Poloniex is way better and safer choice. |

No idea... i am Reading 50 - 60 dollars on xmrtrader think that could actually happen? I have no idea. I sure hope not. Sometimes I am having doubts about this whole cryptothing. That it has seen its peak and is dying out. And that I will be left with nothing than useless xmr coins that are worth almost nothing because I kept on hodling. But it looks like I would not be the only one hodling here  |

No idea... i am Reading 50 - 60 dollars on xmrtrader think that could actually happen? Not anytime soon. Price is decreasing from 24th April so for straight 48 days.Price was $300 back then. Things in crypto never go just one way. Sooner or latter market will turn opposite and price will at least temporary start increasing. Also $130 is not expensive price for Monero. No matter what price Monero will have tomorrow or a week from now or a month from now or a year from now, sooner or latter will go over $130 again. More sooner then latter. And also I was thinking, I might decide to start again advicing my friends to buy crypto. I stopped doing that in 2017 once prices started going up. Sometimes I am having doubts about this whole cryptothing. That it has seen its peak and is dying out.
That sounds quite far from reality. It made long way in last 4 years, if it will do only half of that in next 4 it will be great. But most likely we will be surprised once again. |

I brought only 3 or 4 BTC at 3-4 hundred and I made them into XMR. When BTC was at 19k that made me good for about 350k only thanks to monero not just holding BTC. Where 1 BTC = 1 BTC
I am a firm believer in what will be will be. So be it.
One day I will buy my family an amazing house and they can just chill.
No worries if It doesn't work out because I am prepare to work hard like everyone else to serve my family.
I am just a humble servant.

But when i see the market bleed it’s hard to believe we will see 1000 and that I maybe made a mistake not selling near 500. How much of a chance people in here give Monero to reach 1000? |

Yes you made mistake to sell at $140 when you could sell at $500. You would have for 3 loans instead of one.  Why you are not perfect? Monero will reach $1000! |

Yes you made mistake to sell at $140 when you could sell at $500. You would have for 3 loans instead of one. Why you are not perfect? Monero will reach $1000! I did not even see it like that, 3 loans :p hehe. How can u be so sure it will reach 1000. Ok I know the tech is superior but are u not a little scared that after the enormous growth last year crypto can completely fail and people have no more interest in it? |
