And I've made it a bit physically easier on the eyes... but if you think it's horrid in black or if you have any other comments, criticisms or suggestions, I'm all ears. Cheers! - Ed. Updates: - The ticker is now more accurate and speedy. - I've added the current USD value of Un-Ex's own D.V.C. as well as UNO's equivalent value. - For fun, I put in a little yellow box where you can see the very current value of your UNO stash in USD

Hi Benefactor, I'll sell a DVC for 15 UNO. Will send DVC shortly, just updating the blockchain for the last 3 days' worth (see I can say that with a straight face*, here's hoping the NXT wallet behaves itself now!). *I was smiling wryly as I typed that, turns out I couldn't. DVC incoming shortly. -- EDIT: A.R.G. it turns out 1.4.6 is now OUTDATED according to my NXT client. Already!! I'm going to download the newest version from the Github repository and hopehopehope that I don't need to redownload the blockchain after just 4 days since doing it last time. (Maybe I should invest some time into learning a bit more about how this wallet works as it's driving me slowly insane)-- 2nd EDIT: Throw me your NXT address when you get a sec, Benefactor. I'll shoot the DVC your way. Once you have it please use the UNO address in my sig. Thanks again.

Trade: test Un-Ex Tracker: I will sell you 10 Uno for .08 Btc
[Sigh! The sacrifices we make!]
I'll take that offer and will pay 0.082BTC, but I can't pay until about 9pm tonight (am awaiting a fiat-to-BTC conversion). If someone else wants to accept in the meantime, be my guest! Cheers. 0.0821 BTC has finally been sent. Such a delay won't happen again, I've booted the local fiat:crypto exchange service I was using for now as they're possibly not as great as I thought they were. Thanks for your patience there, IMZ!!

Complete, thanks Benefactor and IMZ (I changed the Status to Complete on the sheet, I suppose that'd be the way to do it). Feedback has been left in your Trust profile, thanks again. Cheers. -- @IMZ, how are the TT stars calculated? I read earlier in the thread about how they represent different 'weights' of trust (ie. more stars = more trust for larger trades). If I was to add a Worksheet on this spreadsheet called Trusted Traders, I'm thinking of putting the following fields: Username; Stars; Trades to Date; Pledged Bullion validation; DVC address Username - self-explanatory; Stars can be transcribed across from your blog page, but I'm interested in knowing whether there might be some sort of quantifying way I could calculate stars by counting something based on trades in the sheet (I can count or aggregate pretty much anything once its defined); Trades to Date would be a simple total of trades for that user from the spreadsheet (*older trades would not be included unless you entered your own previous trades, if so inclined - that's going to be a PITA for Benefactor and a few others but we're still new enough it will be practical); Pledged Bullion Validation would simply be a link to the post in this thread where you posted your validation photos of pledged bullion; eg. IMZ's PledgeDVC Address would show the NXT address with a clickable hyperlink to the blockchain explorer's corresponding entry; eg. NXT-7G8P-PY3U-8F48-GZP3E-- Also @IMZ, have you seen Brawker? Check it out, it is a platform where Bitcoin owners can order anything they want on the Internet and have it paid by someone else in fiat money who will then take the Bitcoins in exchange. Bitcoin owners can order anything they want on the Internet and get a 6% cash back on their purchase. People interested in buying Bitcoins can do so by fulfilling someone else's order with their credit card or Paypal account and obtain the equivalent amount in Bitcoin.

cragv Un-Ex trade offer: AUD$300 for 0.8 BTC (would also pay USD$245 via PayPal).
Want to get this fiat into BTC then into UNO and elsewhere but now its the weekend I won't have the chance until early-mid next week. Would also accept smaller fractions at same ratio (eg. AUD$150 for 0.4 BTC). Thanks folks.

The differance is really the p2p aspect. The liquidity engine is an idea Mark and I discussed over coffee in 2013 as we saw the influx of new coins and speculated on what would separate real coins from fad coins and dead coins. Although there is a lot of money to be made automating and fleecing the process of a liquidity pledges (whatever you might call them for marketing purposes) there is a more healthy benefit to the coin from a p2p process.

@ cragv: how are the stars calculated, you ask? Wa ha ha . . .
One star: you have completed one trade to the satisfaction of the TT involved.
Five stars: you start to glow golden, and two women strew rose petals beneath your feet as you walk to the Rolls.
Seriously, 'two,' 'three,' and 'four' are not sharply distinguished. Two is 'not just a one-starrer.' By the time you get to four, you'd do a $1,000 deal without concern -- but it might still be a wise protocol to break it into a coupla 'packets'.
Note: please remain in the habit of nudging me to get your Rating raised. (For example, Benefactor must have his Rating raised this very second!) And, of course:
I am not in charge

Thanks Benefactor, I was asking Mark about stars from a 'vision' perspective rather than a permission or appeal perspective. I'm on board with the decentralised, 'no one is in charge' model here.
Thanks also Ian, I appreciate that.
Stars: Thanks for clarifying, IMZ. I'm thinking the stars process could still be cautiously and experimentally 'automated with oversight': - spreadsheet tracks trades and results (will add fields for Buyer and Seller to check box saying 'coin received' or something) - spreadsheet calculates stars as a function of: - average number of positive trades in a given period - average value per trade - number of different trading partners (high number required for higher star rating as a protective measure) - period of time since users' first trade - amount of DVC issued (not currently held)/PM holdings pledged
With such a system (any and all of the above tweaked until reasonably functional), the Trades sheet could then automatically show number of stars next to the user who is offering their latest trade.
Just thoughts for now, much refinement and discussion to follow as we nut things out! Thanks all.
