I admire the functionality of the site... but I don't wish to run any sort of ponzi.

The site does have many more applications which I intend to use. but if anyone wants to use the development for this purpose, I'm happy to provide it.

Just so you all know, the used script is open-source and can be found on Github and it has been posted on Bitcointalk as well. It's possible that the OP made changes to it though.

Agree this is a casino-ponzi! At least we know what we risk if we are the last ones!

Hi,

I'm developing the code from scratch but with a top quality GUI.

I will be limiting customers to only 2 which will help me cover the costs of the development.

I will be happy to deliver a working copy, fully installed on your chosen hosting for 0.85 BTC

Message me if you're interested

1st come.. 1st served

Thank you. Cheesy And it's a little off-topic, but congrats on your recent promotion. Smiley

Congrats man! Smiley It's going to be a while until my payout. I really think the minimum deposit should be raised for it to be easier to break past those consecutive 1 btc walls. Undecided

that would be so, but then it would also take and make it harder for little spenders like myself to enjoy the thrill of "teh ponzi"

i support dropping the max to .5 though, then all those 1 btc deposits would be 2x as many .5 deposits, increasing speed of payouts, while also decreasing risk to the "investor" when we near the end of the round

All it would do is have people that want to spend more make a bunch more transactions.

Most likely next week's minimum would be raised to 0.01 at most. You could use the remainder of the week to get that 0.01. Smiley
Good luck to us both. Cheesy

Can anybody explain to me?

Who exactly loses money on this? Who get's screwed?

The people that will lose money are the ones that have not been paid when the timer hits 0. It will all depend on how many people keep playing this game.

All it would do is have people that want to spend more make a bunch more transactions.

Raising the minimum would weed out the ones who didn't contribute a lot against the walls, ie. someone investing 0.001 btc after a 1 btc deposit. So in a way, it could make only the significant amounts of money come in.

Lowering the maximum is arguable. But imo I think it should be raised to 1.5 btc at most, so that it'd slightly lessen the transactions from the big spenders while also it wouldn't create that much bigger of a wall to get over.

Just my 2 cents.

IF anyone wants to run their own version of this "game" message me and I can deliver the site for you.

Thanks

Why not just run it for yourself?

Not that I mean to offend or doubt that you can deliver. It's just out of curiosity.

Because it's illegal in many countries, I also would like to run one such website, seeing the money that can be made, but I prefer to sleep in my bed at night, not in jail...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme

A bona fide currency functions as a medium of exchange, a store of value, and a unit of account, but bitcoin largely fails to satisfy these criteria. Bitcoin has achieved only scant consumer transaction volume, with an average well below one daily transaction for the few merchants who accept it. Its volatility is greatly higher than the volatilities of widely used currencies, imposing large short-term risk upon users. Bitcoin's daily exchange rates exhibit virtually zero correlation with widely used currencies and with gold, making bitcoin useless for risk management and exceedingly difficult for its owners to hedge. Bitcoin prices of consumer goods require many decimal places with leading zeros, which is disconcerting to retail market participants. Bitcoin faces daily hacking and theft risks, lacks access to a banking system with deposit insurance, and it is not used to denominate consumer credit or loan contracts. Bitcoin appears to behave more like a speculative investment than a currency.

at the moment its investing sea shells.  the site is not dealing with fiat at all so technically  its not illegal.

But the owner will convert his btc in fiat eventually, there is your $$...

How do you know?

the thing is it states in the domain its a ponzi.
so if any one ends up crying would not really understand why.
