if they go to manufacturers, or other legit entities=not scam

The Block Erupter USB address probably hasn't been checked in well over a year, but I suppose you might as well try - ask if they've got some leftover stock (and towels!) while you're at it.  Maybe if something is unconfirmed, you just shouldn't post it.
