Hello all
Can any one tell us 290x clock and memory settings to get best zec hash rate
Also I want to know 280x setting

SAP R9 290X TRI-X 8GB (1040/1400/-31mV) - 210.807 H/s (can perform better)

MSI R9 390X GAMING 8GB (1100/1500/-31mV) - 240.956 H/s
SAP R9 390X NITRO OC 8GB (1100/1500/-31mV) - 240.293 H/s
SAP R9 390 NITRO OC 8GB (1100/1500/-31mV) - 227.941 H/s

min.925 - max.1120W

stock bioses and Auto fans with custom curve via MSI Aferburner 4.3.0

H97 Anvrs, G1840, 8GB RAM, 80GB HDD, 16GB swap, Win7-64, crimson 15.12, Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0

There is no profit without work Grin
I'll just sit back and wait couple days what will happen, then decide what to do

In the meantime you'll be losing some money because at this moment, for 4xx cards, ETH is 15%~20% more profitable than ZEC

I know this had been discussed a lot, but can someone clarify to me one more time why my rigs hashrate is less on coinmine.pl then the real hashrate miner shows ?

because pool determines your speed by shares submitted and pools always fluctuate so 1 sec u might be way higher than u have next lower but usually it avg the same
Thanks now I kinda got it...
What will be the avg speed of RX480 8G ?

My sapphire Nitro OC + 8GB get around 176s/s stock bios, no OC on performance mode.

My MSI Gaming X's (again, stock bios no oc) gets around 162s/s.
My bad is that I modded most of my cards for ETH low power mining with avg 29.4mh/s. There are 266 RX480 8Gs to remod for ZCash from that low pow mod, only few are left on their stock bios and those are the ones with the highest hashrate at the moment. I don't know when I'll have to get back to ETH.
Just go flip all the switches to the other bios....

Mostly it is the "ping" towards pool's server that causes this.

For stock hawaii DPM4 normally works, add -100mV + mem 1125/ 1250 and you will see some nice power savings. Performance hit is normally 10-15% but that is not a problem with these profitability levels.

Mostly it is the "ping" towards pool's server that causes this.

Last night I was having ping of 68ms and accepted share as high as 25 seconds. Coinmine is for sure having bandwidth issues. Perhaps not enough threads on the server to handle the requests. On average it's taking me around 300-400 ms to accept a share. My internet access is via my mobile phone but if that was the cause the ping would suffer as well

Ahhh the dilemas of being a miner, so many programs to keep track of, so many power mods for individual algorithms Cheesy

So far I have been mining since 7.0 launch with 16 gpu's and it hasn't crashed, right on! Is the Optiminer Linux version just as stable?

Dear Claymore. Thanks again for a great program.

Question please. Should the start.bat file for the Zcash miner use the SET or SETX at the top before each GPU_**** statement?

Thanks in advance

Claymore

Is there a version of your miner that will work with my HD 6990 cards (essentially 2 6950 or 6970 GPUs on one card)? And if so, what must I do to obtain it, and set it up for my cards?

The AMD driver site said the newest Catalyst my cards could run is 15.9 (not 15.12). When I ran them a couple years ago, they were mining with Catalyst 14.6 (on a mining OS called PIMP-1.5.4-amd-14.6-r2). I am disabled, and have a limited income, and therefore must run what I have. Thank you.

I have a 6990. Use drivers 15.7

And mine ETH with it with his miner software not ZEC. ZEC will run at 2Sol/s per core so 4Sol/s.

With ETH you will get 13MH/s each so 26MH/s total. Almost the speed of RX480 & 390 just uses alot of power.

You can also undervolt them to like 1.0V to save on heat and power.
how it work with ETH ? what miner?
i know the 6690 have to gpu 6970 with 2gb vram and 6970 with 2gb vram that meaning can mining ETH with 2gb vram or on vga like 6950 and 6970?

doesnt really matter, maybe you dont even need to set commands.  but set is temporary, and setx is global.  so both work perfect.

Yes, connect through HDMI or whatever connections your monitor and mobo supports and set up in your bios to use it that way. Then in the mining software use the -di command to point the miner to the cards.

These mining farms are massive, the older cards they have are now getting better speeds then the new RX470 / 480 cards that new miners have bought...

Claymore can really help out by improving the new cards speed to allow us smaller miners to get better rewards against these massive farms.

I think the major part of the miners have older cards too. That is the reason why Claymore improves hashrate on the older (and less efficient) cards first. I have no doubt that Claymore will optimize his miner for the Polaris GPUs soon.
