Poloniex is also a exchange so it should be quite safe to keep your earnings there.

You never use exchange as a wallet. They tend to be hacked, poloniex has been hacked too. Obviously you need to keep something there if you are trading.

If linux is not an option use jaxx.

what is jaxx??? how it works?

https://jaxx.io/

Why not try Bittrex?  I've had my ZEC deposited straight there through flypool since the beginning with no problems at all.  for over 100 payouts they show up there like clockwork Smiley

interesting...

one more question if you don't mind.. you're a hero member.. sure you are more experienced in cryptocurrency stuff..
in your opinion, which one is safer to keep coins for long term period, poloniex or jaxx?

jaxx.

But first thing to do when windows wallet is released is to move your holdings there. If you want to be really sure just google for 'cold wallet' or 'paper wallet'. Remember to use strong passwords and 2FA whenever it is possible. And remember to remember your passwords  Grin

OK.. thanks again for valuable information....it's quite educative.. i learn new thing..  Smiley

I read the FAQ in jaxx's support page.. I read this line and I'm a bit worried:
======================================================================================
I can't find my ZCash z-address & my address keeps changing! Also, can I receiving ZEC mining rewards in Jaxx?

We only support transparent addresses at this time. We haven't made a full decision on supporting z-addresses yet.

The address changing is normal. Jaxx is an HD (hierarchical deterministic) wallet, which means it generates a new address every time you send/receive funds to/from your Jaxx wallet as a way of keeping your balance private. And yes, you can use any of your previous addresses to receive funds.

And please do not point your ZEC mining rewards to Jaxx, as we are a lightweight wallet that is not designed to receive mining payouts. We do not recommend pointing any mining rig payouts to Jaxx as it may cause issues on your end as well as potentially causing issues on our end.

https://decentral.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
================================================================================

If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been using jaxx? have you ever experienced any problem transfering your zec earning from pool directly to jaxx's wallet?

@GabryRox

Been using jaxx since day one.  Started with .3 zec a day and when that started coming 2-3 times a day I switch h to 1. I've had no issues sending to exchange

Still having an issue with one RX 480 Sapphire not working with V8

I have 17 other, identical cards that work perfectly, cept this one will not. It's not a hardware or OC issue. It works at full power when on any other, Claymore, miner. Only worked half strength on V7, and it just doesnt like V8 at all!

great work,

thanks mr. claymore,

still since version one,
i did not got it to make two gpus work mining zec simultaneously,
with same card same system to mine together on two identically 7950 gpus,
but one card still mines the hell out of zec, and the other only with version 7.0 i got some hashes at around 20 to 30

that card all other versions always shows 0 sol hashes., but another card in same system 200 h/s with 8. please help,
windows 10 btw, msi mainboard, but in devices 0 or 1 it mines the other card, temp it shows the other card to.. anyway,

\that other card mines eth with 30h i guess, thats why its strange,

@Claymore, v8 is broken.. no matter how I set it, -mport is always read only.  Because of this, i'm unable to reboot my rigs or change pools via ethmon. Please fix this ASAP, I have a large farm that is dependant on ethmon.

I am having to run now 2 cards on V6 for stability. V7 reduces them to half strength, V8 Zeros them completely and crashing the machine.

The cards that do work on V8 however are amazing, and pulling +15-20% from V7. Just a shame about these 2 fuckers

Basically, every update, we gain from the Linux/Nvidia miner that can compete for the moment.

Excellent speed increase for R9 2xx 3xx but not for RX Undecided
RX 480 8GB = 200 H/s!!! For the fact that older cards have wider memory bandwidth, that's excellent. So PLS stop whining.
