I take it this is a joke? 6 days, about 3BTC, about $1200? You don't care you lost $1200 because some company wilfully shipped you shitty, faulty, untested goods?

It was only a single board. The rest of the Jupiter was busily hashing away during that time. So at worst I lost around 100Gh/s for 6 days....not terrible.  The new board hashes at around 138GH/s.
This is all I will say on the matter, something was broken and they fixed it reasonably.

I've ordered 2 upgrade modules for the jupiter just to try it.

Good news...

The speed is still slowly increasing and I expect around 840GH/s which is 140GH/s per module.

Btw did you buy longer cables as you will need them to connect the 2 additional modules.

I bought 6 metres of cables and a lot of connectors. Cables will be custom made.

I'm trying not to forget something.

Guy's I'll be honest and say. If you have a November batch and want to take full advantage, I'd be sourcing 1200w PSUs.

I'd still avoid the Cosair HX Series. You'd prob be fine with a solid 1000w+.

We've been testing on the V850s still, but as I alluded to before they've been pushing these around and over 1000w and the PSUs are solid and have been taking the abuse, but if I were you with future firmware revisions and from what I've seen: 1200w Gold rated PSUs for November batch orders FTW please!

Hey Bitcoinorama will there be a way to adjust the speed of the whole miner? 650GH/s at ~1000W is ok now(based that you recommended 1200W PSU i'm thinking that a Jupiter will draw 900-1000W), but in 3-6 months maybe i would like to go back to 550GH/s at ~600-700W. The additional hashrate is very very welcomed, but the power increase seems to be around their originally stated 1.6J/GH.

Anyway, retard Avenger is still complaining even if no ASIC company provided an increase of over 50% in hashrate in just one month. Great job KnC! I love you! Now just please don't open another batch till January/February at least

How about a customer pays KnC less than some others and tells them the following:
"Count yourself lucky that some paid more than me, as long as it's over $4000 - nevertheless the price is advertised >$5000- you have no right to ask for more, but where I prefer to get my unit shipped to."

really makes me thinking twice about my next KnC order as it's another gamble on top of the mining gamble

I had the idea of creating a list of all the concerns expressed by the community here and relay them to Sam in person when I go there Monday (if I even have the chance to meet him).
But I am not sure that he would actually care so much and would be probably a waste of time.

Guys, due to the fact we underestimated the demand and oversold, we had to wait for the rest to be produced at the factory. Currently as you can see, they are being packed with all the auxiliary parts, then labelled.

As they sold out and were paid for in seconds, and there isn't any logical order of sale, we sat down and had a chat as how to best approach this, and to be fair to everybody that ordered within those 7 minutes, they are all being shipped at the same time on Monday.

You underestimated that 200 upgrade modules would sell in the same day? Really?

I'd always prefer that you not say you will ship THIS week if you aren't going to ship until NEXT week.

Joe, and others, being that this is a relatively new industry, every move KNC makes is literally unprecedented.....but in my opinion, not without reason. I have mentioned before that maybe the "Powers that be" or "Asic Gods" in this new industry (think back to picture of sam, yifu, josh hugging and smiling etc)do have a plan. I believe the hash rate and the difficulty are somewhat manipulated (and maybe even in our favor) by the timing/delivery of mining equipment from these asic manufacturers.....or maybe I am just a conspiracy theorist?

My el cheapo 12v switching supply is reading 184 watts at the wall while bertmod says 133watts.  If we ignore the BBB, I suspect bertmod does, the efficiency is 72.3%.  If I scale up for a Jupiter it's 736 watts at the wall.

Measuring power "at the wall" will add in the overhead of the ATX power supply, and the overhead of the DCDC converters themselves.

Mercury, 184 watts at the wall 120VAC, 133 watts bertmod, supply: CH Switching Power Model LIHUA-360W DC OUTPUT 12V 30A (typically used for driving LED signs) plus a BBB wall wart, both to a power strip plugged into the Kill-a-Watt.  (note: supply fan not tolerating temperature change, noisy when cold startup, bearings wearing quickly)
