My el cheapo 12v switching supply is reading 184 watts at the wall while bertmod says 133watts. If we ignore the BBB, I suspect bertmod does, the efficiency is 72.3%. If I scale up for a Jupiter it's 736 watts at the wall.
I confirm BertMod ignores the BBB and also that the readings from the DC/DCs might be a few percent off (I'm not sure if the readings are temperature compensated, and the DC/DCs usually run quite hot, so there might be some error induced by that) 72% efficiency for a cheap power supply sounds totally possible.

I notice my temps are green, 37.5°C while others' are red. My ambient is 66°F. I built a wind tunnel and put cardboard inserts between the VRMs and the ASIC. Don't know where on the module the temp sensor is.

I highly recommend this http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/xfx/p1-1250-befx/I have one for a LTC rig, it's the best PSU I ever had, been running for 5 months solid without stopping, only a few reboots for windows updates. It's just a re-badged seasonic

So that's ~1.3W/GH. A damn good 20% improvement from their estimates of 1.6W/GH. Not so good as 1W/GH, but i'm satisfied. WRU tard Avenger to throw shit at KNC? 50%+ more hashpower and 20% less consumption. Show me another ASIC manufacturer that can beat that! (i'm not expecting an answer because you retard don't have one) Planning on getting an EVGA 1300W for November Jupiter!

Serious, if KNC was passionate about the products they make and really cared for them, they would have never shipped them with thin paperboard and no internal packing. This kind of proves they care less about their product and are soley in it for financial reward. I would rather invest my money with a company that cares about their own products.
And with UPS. You can pack whatever you want into a box. Guys, do you realize how small and light these boxes are going to be? A computer board that weighs the same as a pack of bubble bum and the size of playing cards. A couple cables. All less then 16OZ in a tiny little box. It will be like getting an Intel Processor box. That small. Trust me, UPS said no such thing about having one in each box. This is the last time I'll be investing with this company. They move to slow, have a horrible presence in the community (if any at all) and once they have your money start to treat you a little different. They'll eventually ruin everything for themselves. People don't forget. I'll never forget I had to pay $205 to ship 16ounzes to the Eastern US with a weeks delay first. That sticks in me like a hot knife.
Wow, you really feel that way? Seems pretty trivial to me, and other than Arctic I30's snap-on fan design(no fault of KNC's really) The inits held up astoundingly well, even one that was totally destroyed by DHL, and filled with water ended up working. It was also posted in here that the boards are all pre-packaged individually, and when checked with UPS rates in sweden, was right on price...you must have missed it.... So you are ok with how they packed a $6000 miner? I've seen better packaging for socks.

Guys, due to the fact we underestimated the demand and oversold, we had to wait for the rest to be produced at the factory. Currently as you can see, they are being packed with all the auxiliary parts, then labelled. As they sold out and were paid for in seconds, and there isn't any logical order of sale, we sat down and had a chat as how to best approach this, and to be fair to everybody that ordered within those 7 minutes, they are all being shipped at the same time on Monday. Isn't that dangerous? Throwing electronic boards on top of one with anti-static system around at all? These are $1000 cards here. I thought they would take care of them a little better then that. Also, have they all been tested before being sent out? The last thing KNC needs is more RMA work on for modules they just sent out.

only took 6 days through RMA.
I take it this is a joke? 6 days, about 3BTC, about $1200? You don't care you lost $1200 because some company wilfully shipped you shitty, faulty, untested goods? It was only a single board. The rest of the Jupiter was busily hashing away during that time. So at worst I lost around 100Gh/s for 6 days....not terrible. The new board hashes at around 138GH/s. This is all I will say on the matter, something was broken and they fixed it reasonably. I had a nearly identical experience. I'd rate the RMA process a B-. It took a week, I had to pay for the shipping back to KNC and my Jupiter ran at 75% speed during the week I was without the card. If it hadn't been the first week, it wouldn't have cost me very much BTC. I'd like for KNC to offer an advance shipment RMA process, as I've mentioned before, but I'm not ready to take up the pitchfork over it.

https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-40We would like to say that after a very long stint in the factory over the weekend and with great help from our entire engineering team we are finally ready to release the figures you have all been waiting for, Jupiter is of course not a 400 machine it’s much more than that. Watch the video on our youtube sitehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFOcI8nK2xITruth or lies in their official company newsletter to customers? If that is not an official statement, what is? What the actual fuck? Which part of my post did you not understand? You're so ready to pull shit over everyone who dares to quote you that you don't even notice when someone agrees with you. Let me repost myself, read the first part very carefully: Yes. I totally agree that they are liars. It's a fact so no disagreement there.
But it's not accurate to call them criminals if you "only" get a 450Gh machine when you paid for 400Gh one.
