i don´t know what and why many of you had such a bad experience with KnC Miner? If you don´t understand that they´ve done everything what they where talking about. they promised maschines with 350 Gh/s and we recieved 530 up to 580. The first company which produced miners ppl getting a roi....and doesnt burn money. These Guys been the first who announced in april and delievered 3 or 4 days late. KnC maschines running around 80% of the power of the bitcoin network... hashfast, cointerra are delayed too, what i heard lately. I don´t start to mention BFL and many others.... I´m not working for them. I just can´t understand 1117 sites filled with hate and insulting them many times. i think they made many things right. from the very early start we had an professionel business-partnership with KnC miner here in person Sam. many blames are not their fault... like shipping companys/costums aso. I think here are many forum members who are just out of the game cause they didn´t trust them and decided not to buy...but that was not the fault of KnC! just wanted to say that.... ty +1 +1 They are Jealous.

Why is it the Jupiters have such high dupe numbers comparatively? Isn't that something that can be weeded out in firmware?

Seems like KNC is hiring people, does this mean they will have better customer service?
There is nothing wrong with customer service, they work their socks off above and beyond the call of duty to answer all the emails. Sure they don't know every answer, but they're as new to the hardware as you are. There's a hell of a lot more happy customers, than unhappy. Actually I'm only going by what I've read on the forums and even KNC's own forum. I'm baffled they don't even participate in their own forums daily. I don't get that at all. We know they can post just fine, because when Sam has something to say he posts it in the announcements area. I'm wondering who takes care of their forum? It has to be maintained by someone, right? Unless they just released it and let it go and don't monitor it all. Yea, I can't anything negative about their customer service, wrong choice of words...I think I just would like to see more presence of them here or at least in their own forums. For someone that spent $11k, I think they could at least chime in and say hello, no?

Yea, I can't anything negative about their customer service, wrong choice of words...I think I just would like to see more presence of them here or at least in their own forums. For someone that spent $11k, I think they could at least chime in and say hello, no? It's simple they are flat out working, nothings stopped. They haven't enough people for the forum. They aim to focus on their own forum at somepoint, but whoever it will be needs to know the product and scene inside and out and as with all the extra hands needed, this is a specialist subject which takes time to bring someone up to speed. Time is a luxury no one has available currently. There's loads of great ideas but priorities dictate the hardware , firmware and hosting needs to be complete first. I pay attention to Bitcointalk as I enjoy it, Henrick prefers IRC - it's instant and he can just deal with what is in front of him there and then. I flat out refuse to enter KnC's forum. I've tried it a couple of times, but it's a) too much work and will take up too much time I don't have, b) I prefer Bitcointalk. It has more of that wild west frontier vibe. It's more entertaining for me. In any case for the most part once you work out who isn't a customer, and who is here, and ignore the chaff, and fake accounts the rest just falls into place. It's a community, people work things out, that's why you play with hardware, you're self confessed geeks in virgin territory. Geez you had no help, zero with Avalon, little with Bitfury and the rest rarely gave you a product to have help with. Bobsags idea earlier I'm game to try. I think that can be implemented and improve things. I get a crazy amount of PMs daily, I can't answer all of them. When Sam was posting last pages with Q's grew by 10-20, with the fake accounts the abuse is just not worth it. There appear to be a few nasty individuals on the constant offensive and they are trying their hardest to disrupt and discredit. Backed the wrong horse, work for a competitor, pissed technology made their previous kit redundant, who knows, it was inevitable going to happen at somepoint, and it wasn't as if there wasn't enough evidence KnC were making a genuine go of delivering. There's no way Sam, Andreas, Marcus, Michael, Henrick, Yann, or anyone else can spend time on here and focus on what else they have going on. Everyone get's up, works, goes to bed and comes back here. It's Sunday i'm in the office again, no weekend. I knew it wasn't going to subside after B1 delivery, but I cannot wait to attend some of the conferences coming up, I just want to stretch my legs for a bit. I think once B2 has shipped there will be some time to focus on some of these other things, but right now it's hard to hire people that won't slow the team down, ad there's no time to wait for someone to pick up the slack with another delivery so soon.

We've had three more guys join the team this week alone, including one welcome surprise for you guys entry I had a hand in, who will be joining us in the coming months, but for now i'm remaining tight lipped. He's a v.smart guy though, and gels well with the team! Man, can't you keep a secret?! Anyway, now that it's out there. I did my interview last week, they loved me. I start Monday morning. We all went for drinks late last night to celebrate, this is me (left) and bitcoinobama (right). At the time, he was telling me about how he hadn't slept and what a great engineer he was... Fun times ahead. My first job on Monday is to ensure Cyper gets a free case and our man from Norway is given two free arctic i30's. I vowed to stop KNC's tight-fisted ways and start showing respect to the guys who invested $$$$$$$'s. Hell, these guys have invested 4 or 5 figures in our company, we've got to take better care of them. I said that in the interview and I'll keep saying it. I'm hooked up right now to get a new firmware out THIS WEEK to address the die0 issues, as our customers have told us it's their number 1 issue. Believe me guys, with me on the job, this issue will be entirely resolved as requested. Drop me an email [email protected] and I'll sort out any issues you guys have - personally. It's the least I can do for all the trust and money you guys invested in our company. The Avenger Head of Engineering KnCMiner AB So you are Alan Yentob? I was wondering where you were hiding!

I'd love to see hosting get outsourced so KnC can focus more on hardware and firmware. Anotherhost seems to be doing a good job at that...

O'rama, you're not really saying that KNC has perfect customer service and can't possibly improve, are you? Overall, I don't think KNC has bad customer service, but I would not agree that there is "nothing wrong". I have experienced times when the phone has gone unanswered during business hours, when emails did not get responded to and required follow up phone calls, etc. Given the relatively weak competition (where customer service is concerned), KNC has certainly risen much higher than others, but it's not time to rest - it's time to improve upon the great business that has already been built. Don't forget that BFL, Avalon/Bitsyncom and ASIC Miner all had extremely strong supporters at one time before they fell from their positions - don't get complacent!

According to Amazon tracking my Arctic i30 has been out for delivery since Friday USPS. It wasn't in my PO box. I went to USPS tracking with the number and supposedly it's been delivered but to Carlsbad, California. I call customer serivce and they say it's going to Arizona. I said I don't give a damn what you do with that get me one and get it to me early this week. Oh, we can't, we're out of stock. We can refund you money.... (loud cursing on my part and I hang up).

15? The range seems to indicate a max val of 10, no?
you're totally right. just looked up what the mentioned value was and then I though let's add the line from the documentation should have read my own post before sending it So I tried messing with the queue setting in cgminer. Set my miner to solo mine btc. What happens is all the other backup pools kick in and get some of the work. I get quite a few "pool is not providing work fast enough" errors. I tried difficulty of 10, 15, 40, 75, 90. Higher numbers seemed to get less "fast enough" errors, but it's seems to farm out more work to failover pools. Probably would need to run everything a lot longer to see how the values settle over time, but don't want to waste good hashing time experimenting But the fact it was balancing the work with all the backup pools means it isn't strictly solo mining and it doesn't seem to be able to keep up. No matter how big you make your queue, it will always overrun it eventually if you are using getwork with an ASIC miner. Getwork is simply not fast enough to keep up, and that is one of the main reasons why stratum was invented. If you are mining with ASICs, you have to use either GBT or stratum. If you want to use stratum, you will have to set up a stratum pool with yourself as the only miner, which is a major pain. BFGMiner is the only simple solution I know of, since it explicitly solves the problem by using GBT directly to bitcoind/bitcoin-qt. Read the 'Solo Mining' section in the BFGMiner readme to learn more. I actually tried today setting up solo mining on my Saturn with BFGMiner, as I suggest above - and it turns out that the BBB does not have enough horsepower to run GBT as it is now. It just pegs out the CPU. So it looks like my advice above is accurate if you are running the miner on your PC, but not if you are trying to run it on your KnC miner It seems that the most workable solution for solo mining with KnC miners is, at least until GBT is optimized, still going to require setting up a private stratum pool.

There somebody reads a label and tosses the package in bin for the state/city but a few times recently, a paranoid would say deliberately, my packages have been tossed in a wrong bin and ended up far distant from Georgia. Seems to happen to Amazon shipments to me. Even skipped the free shipping and paid the standard fare.

Problem with them I recall is that their shipping scheme has no contract with USPS and won't deliver to a PO Box. I've been so frustrated with the United States Postal Service with my po box deliveries I may go to a UPS store and rent a mailbox. I don't trust the rural mailboxes in a cluster out on the main road here. The most recent batch of young'uns around seem a notch better than a few years back but the temptation to look into those rural mailboxes has to be there. Delivery to the home is out due to distance of my closed driveway gate from my door and the trees blocking the view.
