I'm also wondering, how they're doing a 20nm ASICs?! Intel is doing 22nm CPUs (haswell) now, and bitfury is doing better (efficient) 55nm ASICs that KNC's 28nm ASICs.
@KNC, Some explanations please..

TSMC is producing 20nm right now for Q1/Q2 2014, although I think the company only expects a few mobile chips out for Q1... http://www.extremetech.com/computing/171362-qualcomm-announces-the-snapdragon-805-an-arm-chip-ready-for-a-4k-worldQualcomm is sampling its new ARM chip for partners right now, and expects consumer devices to arrive in the first half of 2014. After conquering a new generation of smartphones and tablets, Qualcomm sees the Snapdragon 805 as a natural choice to power Ultra HD 4K TVs. TSMC has previously said that its 20nm node will be ready some time in the first quarter of 2014, but we remain pretty skeptical. Realistically, we won’t see commercial quantities of the Snapdragon 805 until TSMC has all of its 20nm wrinkles ironed out. More realistically I would guess Q2.

...snip.. More realistically I would guess Q2.
I like their word play.. "early 2014" may be "2014, June 30th" + shipping time + queue position + unknown delays.. it'd be fun, as I've postponed all my mining investments to 2014-Q2, and "no more preorders"..

How many people received tracking #'s or actual units from the November Jupiter batch this week? KnC said they shipped 100 Jupiters a day ago (plus an additional who knows how many today); they were hoping to get them all shipped out this week.

Bargain... And who said there is a 10 limit per customer? Hmm. Did your crazy order actually go through? If so congratulations you now need your own personal power station/nuclear reactor to power them

Wondering if PSU's will be supplied with the Neptune. Otherwise, I guess buyers will need very powerful ones, 1500W+, maybe 2 of them for each device? Anyways, I was tempted to order a couple of Neptunes yesterday, but took a look at my broken KNC machines and decided to pass it.

is it just me or has anyone noticed that when KNCMINER opens up sales of their hardware the price of BITCOIN takes a nice jump? Seems to me it has happened every time, maybe that's why they prefer btc.

I agree, 3Th for 10k in bitcoin is a joke. No idea when they will deliver those, Q1/Q2 can mean anything right now. could mean June for all i know, why would I throw so much money into that if the comeptition can deliver faster and cheaper?
Did they inflate the price, hoping that the recent run-up would make people spend frivolously? I was expecting about $6K, maybe $7K. It's called greed my friend and knc is taking advantage of all who have the bitcoin "bug" right now raking in mega dollars. In the bitcoin world Q1/Q2 really means late late June even into July when summer starts to hit. There are just too many things that can happen in 6-7 months in this industry to lay down 10$k for a rig that is basically just an idea in someone's head right now. Kudos for those of you that have the money to burn, all knc is doing is using the "high" people have today because everyone is doing well that ordered a knc. I just can't loan some company in Sweden 10k and then wait half a year. Trust me, if anything is constant in this industry it is deadlines are never met and things take forever. So if anyone wants to buy my knc account or buy your Neptune for you, for a small fee, let me know. KNC's greed is rubbing off on me.

Bargain... $10k for 3THash, is still $2k more than CoinTerra. 30% efficiency will save you $2k in 27 months. Really, a bargain?!

Two batches, plus upgrade boards, before the competition has a chance to get a single machine out the door, Underpromise, Overdeliver.....and a PROVEN TRACK RECORD. You know of a safer/better deal?......No way! Yea right now it's all bubble gum and candy but in 5/6 months there will be other manufacturers out there along side knc. The only reason knc released this news so early is because right at this moment there is no competition. In reality this news letter from knc should have come out in January 2014 not late this year. Knc is just trying to take advantage of the scenario and it is a tactical decision I think.
