Same here.... as of today my 18Khs Litecoin-Rig is making more than my Jupiter.... But this insane price jump in Litecoins (11 days ago they were $4, now over $40), will attract many new script-miners and old Script-rigs which were turned-off (because energy costs) are turned-on again...So difficulty will skyrocket soon as well.
I am going to turn mine back on tonight. Only 4200kh/s and already paid for itself 1.5x but no reason to keep it in a cupboard with LTC at $40!! Don't count too much on it. Everybody is wondering the same currently, and mining LTC is a lot easier than mining BTC. Current Hashrate is only 48GH/s, or ~65000 AMD 7970/r9 280x. With a 48$ LTC at the time of this post, you will have a rush on AMD's graphical cards, and you potentially have a few millions already sold in the previous monthes (from 7870 to r9 290x) that just need the person to be informed. With a difficulty retarget every 3/4 days (could be even 2), expect it to explode in the next 2/3 weeks, then stabilize again when the expected ROI for newcomers will be more than 6 monthes. Except of course if the LTC is at 200$+, which will just mean that the difficulty plateau will be 4 times higher than now. So the question is in fact the same one as for BTC, will you ROI your investment ? Yes if the LTC increase by at least 2 times more while difficulty do not increase by 5-10 folds, else no. The only difference is you'll know it much sooner (< 2 monthes).

Don't you know miners are rich and will keep reinvesting in more hardware and mining till they're not?
Wait that didn't come out right...

The only difference is you'll know it much sooner (< 2 monthes). I agree...starting now, buying new VGA-hardware to join the Litecoin network will not give you good ROI prospectives at all ... But in my case: I started in May and didn't sell any Litecoin I mined. It was all deep red ROI until 20 days ago....Now I can say I made a 10 times profit on the initial hardware cost(but have to subtract 2 times on Energy cost, leaving 8 times). Odd...being a Miner.

Anyone knows if KnC plans to make a litecoin miner? I think they were considering this.
I think they stated they wanted to just plain don't have the time nor engineers at the current pace..of turnover/production of btc products and design etc ....of course with LTC at $40 usd now that could change in a hurry! It could, I laboured this point with Sam as we struck up communications in the beggining, I wanted to see Mars as a Litecoin miner and wouldn't take no for an answer, there was even a poll on the homepage about it. I'm still determined to get this project off the ground, as I think KnC developing for it would also strengthen the interest and further recognition w.r.t. the currency via bespoke hardware from a reputable brand taking LTC seriously. Currently it is a question of resources, they want to absolutely nail down their interest and product dev w.r.t. Bitcoin. Believe me I confronted Marcus about LTC again this morning and he is interested for sure, but if they create something for scrypt, or multi-alts, they have to have the man power to spare as they will not panda around half-heartedly. That means a separate team that has to be able to develop autonomously with minimal disruption to the Bitcoin project(s). A lot of companies make mistakes in biting off more than they can chew and developing multiple product lines. Personally I believe BFL did exactly that and should have just concentrated on developing the 'Single' range. It's also why Payonix is such an overt scam. All the time, i'm playing a broken record... My suggestion, email and let them know the demand is there.

1. Previous orders were profitable by a large margin. 2. A KNC miner is worth more after you get it, and can be sold for a profit. 3. Mining is quickly becoming a commercial/professional affair. 4. It's time to stop whining and get serious... or shut up & forget about mining, because there is no better offers in the world than what KNC has right here. -my 2 cents. And that's where all the good times and fun get ripped right out of this "hobby" is when is becomes commercial/professional. And once BTC becomes profitable for the lazy politician they'll start slapping on the regulations, laws and policies like crazy and there won't be a damn thing we can do about it. You are either PRO commercialization or not. I guess you are. There are still people out here that hate big brother and how they slam down the control on everything once they start getting a piece of the pie. Right now there is probably a company building a small data center to hosting an entire pool by themselves. Our little 3Th/s rigs will be little plastic Hess trucks compared to the big ones in the real world. If you ordered a Neptune, you may as well sit back and relax and just watch things as they unfold and hope things go into your favor...and sabotage as many other companies as you can, cause that may be the only thing that could save your 10k.

November Jupiters arrived today in the UK; orders in the 87## range.
One has a bad module, if it's connected the PSU trips out on a 1300 Watt EVGA supernova. If I connect it on it's own same happens, if I connect the other three modules they all work fine.
So bad module I guess, I've emailed support. Obviously this is not good as it'll have an effect on ROI.
One of the units is mine and the other my business partners so a bit awkward :-S

So ..what we need to know now is why Nov boards are so much faster. Thx for the info, good luck November boards were redesigned. KNC saw all the mistakes on their original October boards, used us like ginney pigs, then applied those fixes to the November hardware. You'll still see people having problems and issues with their October hardware. Those first miners that KNC made were to be honest, made pretty bad. Temps all over the place, cores shutting down all day, just too much tweaking and attention something needs that usually is supposed to sit there with no intervention at all for months at a time. This is why I was also weary of their car priced Neptune rig. First people to get those will be the ginney pigs again I guess.
