So I take it all the Neptunes pre-order spots are gone (at least for now) as I don't see them listed on the product page (I am logged in)?

yep - sold out in less than 72 hours

Damn, bitcoin mining fever is in full effect. When these puppies come online the network difficulty is going to get savagely whipped up again.

At that moment this will mean barely a 25% hike.

Does anyone in this thread have access to a November-batch Saturn or Jupiter, ideally a Saturn, and a kill-a-watt or other wattage-meter?

For the sake of a friend I would really like to know what the power-draw on the Saturn is.
My Jupiter draws 890W / 3.98A / 230V at the wall.
Strange, my power source is a Corsair 860i Platinum (which should give 860W maximum I believe) and everything seems to be going right.

Can you tell what is your average hash rate and the cores temperatures?
Avg hash rate (cgminer avg after ~ 16 hrs runtime since restart) 672 Gh/s

Asic1 46 °C
Asic3 58 °C
Asic4 58.5 °C
Asic5 47.5 °C

Ambient temperature~ 22 °C

PSU: OCZ ZX-Series 1000 W

Thank you.
I see, I'm, getting 632 Gh/s but with lower temperatures, perhaps that's the problem.
I'll connect a spare 850W PSU powering part of the rig to see if the numbers increase.
What is your ambient temp? Can you manage to get it a little bit warmer?

My ambient temperature should be around 15 ºC

But what do you mean by getting it warmer? Isn't it better to have lower ambient temperatures?

I guess I should've said "BY the time these puppies..." - hashfast, cointerra, bitmine, others might start delivering hardware far before KNC.

What do you mean, I should increase the room temperature? This doesn't make any sense in my head... why the big heat dissipation units and the fans then?

28nm seems quite peculiar in this matter... it seems that some miners the warmer they are the better they perform. some people said it could be related to GE VRMs rather than asic chips themeselfs, take this into account since your miner use Ericsson rather than GE.

anyway use the search function of the forum to get more info about it

Thanks. I will at least put the unit cover on and see if there is any difference.

A lot of people here, myself included, have discovered that they are running better when they are warmer. Let them go to 60 or 65 °C, or whatever you can manage. Some guys claimed that a short heating graeter than 70 °C helped to speed them up. Try it and you will see.

WTF!!! where was it anounced on their website?

https://www.kncminer.com/pages/faq
Quote
To maximise the performance of your November shipment orders, we recommend the following:
- for November Jupiter’s a 1200 Watt PSU with a minimum of four separate PCI-E adaptors (6 pins or 6+2 pin).
- for November Saturn’s an 850 Watt PSU with a minimum of two separate PCI-E adaptors (6 pins or 6+2 pin).

thank you very much! a junior member answered me about a important question.  Wink

Whats about the shipping order number from KNC actually any chances ? Last one was order 8800 26th

my order is 102xx from 11/07/2013

EDIT: still paid

status of my order changed from "Paid" to "In progress".

status of my order changed to just "Paid" back again.

Your right they said "September" I think for Batch 1 which was the very end of Q3 and they delivered in the first couple of weeks of Q4

Mind you I'm expecting Neptune to do the same, hope they aim for March 2014 and hit that target, but I won't be devastated if I get it mid April

this is what their order system tells to me. it switched from "In Progress" back to "Paid". "Paid" is the status where a paid order is waiting to get included in the production line.

Jupiter was clearly pushed out under too much pressure - let them a few weeks more time to tune batch 1 to its best  Cool
