Why are you wasting your time with this complete noob or maybe a troll maybe he need help. maybe he is alone and needs someone to talk. better talk than to commit suicide. he's a lost soul. Lol, guys I'm sorry but Game is Over, for the neht 3-4 months . Not likely. You just reiterating what was said a year and a half ago during the transition from CPU to GPU. Bitcoin mining is a self-balancing process. By the way, does your surname start with "Raf-" and end with "-ko"? Just know of one very tech-savvy igorr. If you are him, then nicely played.

for those of you that have these, how noisy are they? and how much heat do the put out? my room while i am deployed is only 10x10, lol and the air conditionir is all ready loud enough
My 5 are in my basement, they aren't hot to touch, but if you leave the basement doors open and a little fan on they soon warm the downstairs of my house. 2 of my chips run at 70-75 degrees though, so that might be something to do with it. In other news, on successful delivery of my replacement board, they'd also chucked in a few goodies for me. Love these guys! I'm so glad I bet on the right horse. I'm in for 3 Neptunes. If they doesn't send me with them a fuc..in T-shirt, I'll send back all to them....

Why are people mentioning making wafers and stuff regarding the Jupiter sales? They said they would ship from stock.
ANd they may, but you cant ship from stock without first producing the machines and chips. Chip production simply takes a long time, so the question is: do KnCalready have a stockpile of unused chips (or wafers) or did they already place the order with the fab? If the question is no to both, then it seems unlikely these machines will be in stock before mid February. If they do have a stock, that seems pretty wasteful. If they have placed the order some weeks ago, then the decision, which some claim hadnt been taken yet, has already been taken and its only a question of when they will ship those in miners.

How long do you think it takes? It takes around ~8 weeks for chips to be produced from the wafers. The first "Tape-Out" is the longest because they also have to make the masks but that is done now so it's relatively quick if they can find a quick place in line at the fab. TSMC has stated they have ample room for more 28nm orders ( http://finance.yahoo.com/news/tsmc-seen-28nm-utilization-drop-114049008.html) I can't seem to find that exact article now but they are begging for more 28nm orders.

I think this is a pretty good indication of when shit is going to happen: Being out of stock is tough on us all. Customers want to buy more, we want to supply more and every day the 'out of stock' situation continues it frustrates all involved.
We have not been sitting still however. For the past few weeks we have been working on plans to develop hosted hashing into a truly interactive enterprise. All our future plans revolve around having access to extremely large amount of hashing power so that many more people can get involved and try hosted hashing for themselves.
Until we can offer a steady, continuous supply of hashing power our shop will have to remain closed.
We are working with hardware partners to bring to market a large hashing facility that we expect to be online during the month of JANUARY 2014. You all seem bored, so I'll let you find the source of that news for yourselves

Do you not think they called the foundry to place a whopping order as soon as they knew their chips were working? That was 10 weeks ago. Maybe you thought that order was the November Batch. I believe the November batch was in their initial wafer order.

Noise wont be an issue they are not that loud you wouldn't hear it over your air conditioner you could always swap the fans our for some noctua ones if needed. Heat may be an issue depending on where you live or how good your air conditioning is my portable air con cant keep up since I added my nov jup to my oct one but thats on a hot day on a cold day they warm the rooms quite well. But I'll be watercooling at least one in the new year just to drop the heat output a little so that is always an option in a hot climate. my Jupiter is a lot less noisy then my window a/c unit from the summer in my bedroom also I have 2 6" menard fans with the case off blowing sideways they are louder then the unit by far currently in my Minnesota basement (hey it likes it cold) Searing

He he he... and the speculation begins once again..... I love it when noobs jump in and assume. This thread, and the information contained in it, as well as the news, and other combined threads on knc could be a novel...a long one! All history aside... The statement was simple... "As it looks like our struggling competition may eventually ship before our Network protection period has finished, we may be in a position to release Jupiter’s and possibly upgrade cards which we will ship from stock. If we do have more items to place in the shop for our 28nm range, we will announce this via one of our newsletters which will contain the time and date that they will go on sale. So keep some coins handy as we expect them to go quick." If competition delivers before the Network Protection period is over.... (Dec-Feb) which they have... and that statement was made back in July! Then it's on! So now you ask about chips? It specifically states "From stock", and doesn't tell you if they have this stock made yet or not. Why? Think about that for a minute..... or two... I'm sure you'll figure out the answer(s) to that. There are several.

we all will be off our backs until april 2014! Mining is over, Difficulty rise 33% each 10 day, Diff coming 1.2 bilion and for next 10 days coming 1.6 bilion, and so forth, for next 6 montth difficulty 1000 bilion, and for next 12 month diff go above 50000 bilion ! Calculation is simple, BTC mining is dead in April 2014g, game over, You can try calculate, and see, game is over in April 2014g, no more mining profit. http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/Oh we all should just throw our miners in the trash then! C'mon now! Nice try but no one is going to stop mining because you are predicting the end of the world. So many try this tactic... "If I predict doom and gloom, everyone else will stop mining and I'll have all of the bitcoin to myself. MWAHAHA!" Guess what? It hasn't worked before and isn't going to work now. Either that or just jealous that you didn't get into the game sooner.

It's epoxy used to quiet the vrm's Jelin...Normal First ones had a nice squeal to them I'd bet they worked better without the epoxy though.

im pretty confident they will be selling the ones theyve been mining with.
nothing else would make any sense at all
especially as they will be replacing their own jups with neps....
get them while they're hot!
I rather have those since you know they dont have any dead die issues!!
