Given the time-frame, It would be no surprise to me if they decided at this point NOT to do Jupiters... or already have decided such. But then again... if that was the case, they'd have no reason to be silent about it.... so take your pick....lol.
imho if the neputune current 2nd batch (467 or some such left) sold out by friday....we'd have jupiters if they DON'T sell out the neputune 2nd batch by next friday say....I see no chance of Jupiters not that I know zip.....but I see no Jupiters in the wild till the 2nd batch neptunes sell out imho anyway (you guys can keep track if i'm right or not) just my guess Searing

If there is any way we can pay a reasonable premium to have the Neptunes shipped as two separate 1.5TH units that work on a standard American household circuit (instead of needing to use two circuits total for a single 3TH unit), I would be very interested in placing an additional order for 3TH.
ditto that would be the way to move them 2nd batch Neptunes! Searing

Mining is over
I remember hearing that in 2011 and a lot more often If BTC hits $10,000 per coin in 2014, fast mining hardware will be worth it's weight in gold... crap.....have a bfl 7gh jally i'm in denial about...should get it up (or sell it) 10k bitcoin 2014 huh.....may you be the prophet of bitcoin and your words be true! (anyone interested in a 7gh jally bfl sitting around pm an offer or it goes on ebay) end of plug but yeah back to the topic above mining? I have a hard time thinking i'm gonna mine anything with an asic by the time fall equip comes out....what will a unit be then ...25k or some such...see myself being squeezed out (hope i'm wrong however..sure 10k bitcoin in 2014...er the equip will likely be more then 25k if that is the case.... my 2c worth (unlikely worth that much) Searing

a smaller unit would cost more Gh/$, compounding the current speculation of Neptune difficulty even further.

Haaaaaaaaaa haha. They haven't even taped out, they are still working on neptune chip design. No way you'll see diddly in Q1. What is the atmosphere like on planet "SelfDelusion", the biggest planet of them all in the knc thread?

Didn't it take like 2~ months for them to ship Mecuries, Jupiters, Saturns once they taped out? And that was their first time at it. Why would it be slower now? That would still be in Q1 if it meets. EDIT: Are Jupiters really going for $15,000 on ebay? What....

What is the atmosphere like on planet "SelfDelusion", the biggest planet of them all in the knc thread? You have no idea if they have or haven't taped out yet. Once you have a working chip at 28nm, switching to 20nm is more of a manufacturing issue, which puts most of the schedule pressure on when TSMC can deliver.

EDIT: Are Jupiters really going for $15,000 on ebay? What.... knc never announced when they taped out in mid 2013, so no one actually knows if it took 2 or 3 months. Standard is about 64 days. February is 28 days long. China have a 2 week holiday coming up where the country shuts down. Q1 ain't going to happen. But if you can't read the signs, feel free to delude yourself that neptunes will arrive next week for all I care. You have no idea if they have or haven't taped out yet. Once you have a working chip at 28nm, switching to 20nm is more of a manufacturing issue, which puts most of the schedule pressure on when TSMC can deliver.
Watch the video searing posted, which says they are still working on the neptune chip design. Also, that video shows I was right about Jupiter production going ahead in January for byteminr. In the last minute of that video, you'll see obama say they are selling more Jupiters later this month. Like I said, they need you sucka's to pay the full marked-up Jupiter price to cover production costs for the "at cost or less" units for byteminr. Believe me, byteminr are going in big and these new jups ain't going to be worth anything in one difficulty change after shipping finishes P.S. And the remark it'll be "first come first served" also bares out my guesstimate from a while back that they will only sell a limited number of units. Which surely indicates the Jupiter price will be going up, rather than down, as lots of people here seem to think...
