I don't think the new firmware works bad at all on October Jupiters. I've been bfgminer in the new firmware on an October Jupiter for the past 12 hours and am getting 562 GH at the pool with 1.7% hardware errors.

Okay, I know it's off topic but this is nice. If you don't want to burn out your printer and spend wads of cash for toner, or if you don't want to drive to an IRS tax assistance center (my closest are in Atlanta or Columbus), you can get hard copies of IRS documents by searching and ordering online. First one finds what documents one wants then searches on this page and then mash the button for place in cart. Then go back and find additional forms and repeat then go to check out. Forms arrive in 10 days. Best of all it's free. For the last two years I've use the hard copy 2011 form 1040A instructions booklet as a table mat on my desk on which I place hot plates, i.e. breakfast, dinner.

It's Engadget. Their interviews of late have suffered severe audio QC issues. Lookup their interview with Mark Cerny and you'll see what I'm talking about.

What are you seeing for numbers?

My "Super" Jupiter with 6 modules slows down from 850gh to 600gh with bfg.  Tried enabledcores.bin and no dice. With cg it's fine.

I wonder if my calculations are off.  I seem to see that if the rate of hashrate increase on the net remains the same I can probably make a little money with my expensive Neptune in a 3 month period if a btc is $853.  But if the rate of change increases much it will drop to less than paid for and making little after the 3 months.  I used an average of a week a month ago and this last week, btc mined with 300GHs.

Know what would work for KnC? A special deal to sell all returned 1st and 2nd batch Neptunes to a commercial miner farm.

Current thirty day average difficulty growth is 56% according to TGB.  Which'll soon rise for about a week before going back down again due to the next difficulty retarget coming up.  As I've already stated at this rate the batch one $10K Neptunes are good to be delivered up until May and still make their ROI.  The last sixty days average growth was 178% according to TGB.  I don't see this rate increasing much and may actually continue to ease off over the next few months.  Unless there's some more dramatic bitcoin price rises IMHO.  Although CT are due to start shipping soon and maybe HF will start shipping en masse eventually.

I know I could find the answer to the following questions by going "a few" pages back but could someone be kind enough to reply :
How many Neptune's where sold on the First Batch "Closed-Sale" and on the First Batch "Everybody Sale" ?
How many Neptune Second Batch are left ?

Just in case anyone is interested in calculating their actual power consumption, you should know that the amount listed by bertmod or the new 0.99.2 firmware does not include all factors like fans or PSU inefficiencies. As you can see, my Jupiter shows 1140w on the Advanced page, but my kill-a-watt meter shows 1300w at the wall. I would recommend multiplying the amount you see on the Advanced tab or from bertmod by 1.15 for a realistic estimate.

what kind of Jupiter are you running?

my Jupiters are drawing from 570W to 590W at the wall all with 0.95 firmware.
