That’s a fake news no one keeps strategic reserves in sh*t coins

Here’s the latest news:

https://x.com/btc_archive/status/1893082871465644153
It's just a mere speculation but I don't see the possibility of north Korea using Ethereum aa strategies reserve when we have stability coin like Bitcoin which everybody is craving to have. And considering the economic stability and future potentials of Bitcoin if North Korea is considering investing in digital currency as strategies reserve they will definitely go for Bitcoin which is the most reliable digital currency and the pivot point of other digital asset.

Ha ha!  Good one.
...and so true.  Though I still feel bad some Canadians felt that booing the American National anthem was the right thing to do at the previous match-up and I am sorry for that too.
I noticed there were people booing our Anthem last night and I expected some reciprocal hatred from some of the Americans but I like to think that some of the boos came from Canadians upset with Chantel Kreviazuk who altered the lyrics to align with her own politically motivated beliefs, thereby detracting from the significance of the anthem itself.  Not only did she change the lyrics but she messed up the timing of the song and was also off key.  Lady, the lyrics already speak for themselves or hadn't you noticed?  Roger Doucet is rolling in his grave right about now.

Ah, the good old days when anthems were not anathema.

I am not going to pretend I understand or approve of trumps weird shenanigans re: Camada.

But I am noticing something interesting happening here.

The politically correct environment we have been in for twenty plus years is suddenly vanishing into a cloud of shittalking rivalry.

Maybe in just twisted, but there's something I like about it.

Yeah that's why I named him the Trumpeter then upgraded it to the musky trumpeter.

If U.K. and France were smart they could ship nukes to Ukraine Canada and Greenland.  All the big Musky trumpeter and Putin talks would justify the move.

Then we call all talk about mushroom clouds and such.

BTW I will be making some mushrooms today for my omelet breakfast . Fucking 22 dollars to make an omelette  but it is big and good feeds four.

Roger Doucet is rolling in his grave right about now.

Roget Doucet has been rolling in his grave for decades. This minor tweak is nothing,

At the ballpark I sing (loudly!) the original lyrics I learned in school... no religion, no pandering to special interest groups like Anishinaabe, no woke crap like removing the word "son's".

As for the USA anthem, I've never booed but I do remain seated until it's over. "Cruise missiles' red glare, mushroom clouds in the air, gave proof through the night that the Military Industrial Complex is still there"... LOL.

My Mexican wife remains seated through both Gringo anthems.

Maybe it's time we stopped singing silly little anthems completely. They smack of the kind of jingoism that already led to two world wars and threatens a third.
_____

Edit: They do however keep bad singers employed!  Cool

That’s because the politically correct environment was artificially manufactured by companies looking to get lower interest rates on their debt (no I won’t explain, do your research). Now that Democrats can’t steal taxpayer funds and funnel them into pushing this agenda, it is disappearing. Only the most brainwashed delusional bootlickers could still support the current Democrat party.

Bybit Exchange Loses $1.4 Billion in Major Security Breach
https://coinmarketcap.com/academy/article/bybit-exchange-loses-dollar14-billion-in-major-security-breach-ethereum-price-falls

Another fine example of why re-centralized cryptocurrency is always going to get stolen or lost eventually. People collectively put their decentralized money on a centralized platform and now they are going to get a lesson in why decentralization matters.

Although maybe Bybit can cover the damages.

edit: Bybit claims they can cover the losses

Also, the current dip coincides in timing with the original Bybit news post and I am guessing the dip should get gobbled up soon.

....Had I bought BTC instead, I would now have an extra 0.67 BTC = $65,800.

I lost $59,300.
No you didn't. You lost a potential gain of $59,300. That's not the same as actually losing $59,300.
I don't think this is news to any OG on this here famous thread. We've all been there.
It's what I call a "shoulda, woulda, coulda".
Thinking like that I could say I lost 95K because way back in the day, I sold a coin at $500. Because at the time profit.

Fair enough. Opportunity cost is not exactly the same as actual loss, even though, with a little spin, it can be made to rhyme.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Is this not a good thing?
I thought every OG on this here famous thread hates Coinbase. Amirite?
(To be clear, I don't.)
Definitely not a good thing. Is a terribly risky attack surface.

I do openly dislike coinbase, and Brian A. But in a way similar to how I think the ETFs are a mixed blessing.

I dont know about OGs. I'm just a half baked poker player.

Ok many of us want to be somewhat coy about our bitcoin stash, yet if many of us longer time bitcoiners might want to admit that over the years we have been mostly erroring on the side of accumulating and HODLing, then that does not seem like  a poker player,  even if some of us might have had been putting such value into bitcoin relatively whimpily and others relatively aggressively.

And sure, mistakes were made along the way, too.

I dont really know but i has been always very spectical about the ""hackers"" from North Korea i mean for sure they exist but i dont think they are that good like some press and people from the internet wants us to believe.

They have ton of hours are goverment support yes, but they still very poor in formation and in other specials tools.
And another thing more of this kind of things are not ""hacker"" is more like a well design social enginering and poor employers.

You are very correct. The hack of Bybit exchange is a big lesson to people not to entrusts their money in a centralize platform to avoid stolen of their money by hackers. However, I feel very sorry for BYbit exchange and those that were affected, it's a heartbroken lost that can tarnish the image of the company because people may not have much confidence in them again even if as they are trying to redeem their image by refunding those that their money was stolen through the hacked.
I think it's time for Bybit exchange and other exchange platform to intensify their security to avoid future occurrence of hacking.

You almost have it right.

we have 1 party and its sucks.

not your republicans
not your democrats

just your pac fund pollies ripping off all of us.

I am blended and vote on people that I know specially are helpful to me and my wife. So we both vote for the same congressman "Chris Smith" he has done specific and direct help for me on two occasions he is a republican .

Many years ago I voted for a democrat congressman as he did specific and direct help for me.

So basically if they do not directly help me if I need help I have zero loyalty to them as should all Americans .

Unlike many people on bitcointalk I like you OG but you should not get suckered into the trap of Republican good democrat bad or visaversa

OT: Have you guys seen the news about Soc security payments for people over 120 years old...apparently, there are millions of those  Shocked
Maybe there is something about US population that we don't know?
Naaah...it's just errors or fraud.

The question is: did they really kept sending payments to those "people" for years or decades?
I would like to know this.

Source...mind you, i don't know if the numbers are accurate, but I have seen them somewhere else as well:

https://youtu.be/6jUeRKU_MIk?t=1173
second source:

https://youtu.be/JkklLJcwjxE?t=194

60 mil social security more issued than current-possible, if some died and it was not recorded, but CURRENT "super long" living people-I doubt that it could be correct at all.
Do a screen grab of the table-some numbers are "amusing" to say the least.

Lets see if it would be independently confirmed as it sounds strange.

EDIT: Upon further research-those millions of people over 100-seems like a computer error caused by the absence of data about death.
It seems that error in sending out payment to non-existing people is "only" $9 bil/year
