“If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.”
― Satoshi Nakamoto
People are happy to spend their money to buy a new iPhone every year, willing to spend on fancy restaurants for a date, Starbucks, parties, and ohhh on everything that is useless… but when it comes to the one thing that may actually change their life for good, suddenly they need to “think about it deeply” and end up with nah, I can’t afford it.

Well, I guess they probably deserved to be stuck in the hamster wheel.

The world will always be full of mice searching for cheese..

Bitcoiners can be happy not to be stuck in the same maze.

But the problem is most people don't even realize they are in this maze, they wake up, run on the same wheel and chase the same cheese for their entire life and wait for retirement to save a little and call it as freedom. Smiley

The real freedom is out of this box and like the bald guy says, the matrix. Cheesy

Bitcoiners realized there are imaginary walls, so they can't unsee it now.

The way I look at Bitcoin, it's dropping most of the time. If I'd have accurate historic data I'd do the math, but if I'd have to take a guess, it feels like it's dropping 90% of the time. But when it goes up, it goes up much faster than it went down.
The hourly or minute data could show otherwise.
Thanks for digging up the data. This is indeed not what I expected. It makes me even more curious about hourly data.

I also keep a backup of every private key I create to try to protect someone from themselves. Better to trust me than some random internet site or app.

i now wish i had kept the private keys of btc i gave away back in the day on paper wallets and said something like "if its not swept somewhere in 5 years i will take it back" as the few addys that i tracked havent moved them, some for like a decade. a tidy sum possibly wasted, possibly not.

hey we tried to spread the word. now it spreads itself.

Not what I expected either. Subjective impressions are deceitful. Kudos to @DirtyKeyboard for the reality check!

A donation for the good of us all. I’m sure the number of lost coins is far greater than anyone realizes. I also think that is one of the drivers of Bitcoin’s price. I’m sure if everyone who ever lost BTC was able to recover and sell them, it would cause a massive crash. Luckily, instead all our sats are just more valuable.

To me, this is not just about marriage. it’s about responsibility, dreams, and building a path for the future. Fulfill my duty to my parents, starting a new life with my partner. Laying a strong foundation for the next generation together, this makes it the most important decision of my life.
Thank you sir.

My own suggestion would be not to overdo the ceremony but rather put the money toward establishing your lives together. Especially with the price of housing these days. That might be harder for some people than others but a flashy wedding is burning money to my mind.

This would also be a good test for the bride. Wink

sorry.., I've seen you talk about this subject, I didn't want to say anything, but I felt that I need to say something. The problem nowadays that I particularly see about disclosing Bitcoin to people who still don't understand and don't know, who at first they see a lot of difficulty in wanting to understand, is because there are many scams, so they associate that Bitcoin is a scam and or a pyramid system, imagine when I try to talk about public and private keys?..... And then, on a second level of people who nowadays have the knowledge that bitcoin exists and is not a scam end up choosing easier ways to acquire and store, they acquire it in these virtual banking apps that make bitcoin and some others available.... and or else exchanges... and there they leave.  They don't want to know about the real purpose, an independent system that you don't need authorization from a third party to have them and can send and receive whenever and wherever you want... but they don't, they only think about increasing money.
...... And I also realized that anyone who really wants to understand about bitcoin and or somehow needs to use BTC for something, this person goes on the web, does some research and starts reading about it, will bang his head a few times... But as the goal is to learn, this one alone will be able to understand, and one day it will arrive here and or in another place where people with more knowledge and willingness to help, will help with the details of what is necessary....
...And the last problem is the risk you are taking in talking about BTC to someone with bad intentions, who may want to know how much you have and not good things happen, because this one may know and pretend not to know in order to steal from you in some way, lately the news of people who are kidnapped, deaths and etc because of bitcoin have increased.,, so it is not so good to talk about bitcoin anymore.
Really, today by itself he advertises himself.
. Nowadays I still haven't given up completely, when I'm talking to someone I know, and or a stranger, I sometimes ask if you already have Bitcoin, if you know how it is and if you don't know and need to know, you can talk to me and I'll help and I won't charge anything to teach the basics.... Never one came back.....

...Besides, this week I still think the price can try 116k,... Because the moving average 50 in the daily chart indicates that, if it will pass and or if it will come back I don't know, but 116k is the target.

edit: my daily chart>

That's right. Not everybody will come and ask.
However that's exactly my barrier I put up before I even talk to them about dee cornz.

And also I never tell them to buy. Rather the opposite. I tell them who hard and painful it is to hodl through bear markets etc. I tell them they should view the invested money as lost. lol

Almost everyone accepts the challenge.
Maybe if it sounds too good to be true people won't believe it..?

I think that we have had this conversation previously, yet you are sparking me, again.

You claim to have a relatively high conversion rate?  So you have a decently large number of folks who actually invest into bitcoin and are able to stay in bitcoin for at least a whole cycle after talking with you?

Yes, I like to talk about the topic, because I think the way I did it the last 10 years yielded that high conversion rate.
Not one I still have contact to sold. However, only half of them are through more than one cycle.

Some points

I

...let people come and ask, I never go out and talk about the topic unasked, or worse try to convince anyone (I could never live with the responsibility when sth goes wrong)

...try to answer all their question to my best knowledge. That takes time and energy that you won't get back!

...separate my experience from theirs "Yes it went well in my case, but that doesn't mean it will be like that for you in the future"

...tell them all about the hard shit I went through by hodling. The negative info must be predominant! (That's also to secure your ass, so that they don't come back at you when price goes down.)

...never advertise the good stuff about BTC too much. They will find out themselves when they ask you their questions

They must understand that's not a get rich quick scheme (that's what most come for in the first place) but a long-term play, and that hodling BTC will cause a lot of pain...

A nice chart:

x:https://x.com/AO_btc_analyst/status/1963200612088033579

and the US crisis can certainly trigger this:

X:https://x.com/Vivek4real_/status/1962964166643191839

On the other hand, we know very well that BTC is the best asset in the world, If it's going down, it doesn't hurt to buy cheaper and keep accumulating.

Alien Earth is excellent, on episode 5 and it's only gotten better.

I knew it was going to be a decent season and not just a tease when at the end for the credits on episode 1 they played Black Sabbath with Dio.

“If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.”
― Satoshi Nakamoto
Here the Satoshi’s words are very true. Because if someone has curiossity.it is easy to explain things to him. Even if he does not understand the first time, he will understnd the second time. But if someone has no interest at all, it is better not to waste time trying. People only accept something new when they themselves feel curious about it. bitcoin is not just a normal technology. It is a mindset shift. Money should not be limited to goverments and banks. The idea of free, borderless, censorship resistant money may sound unbelievable to many people. That is why Satoshi Nakamoto said that, If you don’t believe it or don’t understand it, I don’t have time to convince you.

From this, we learn one important lession in any great change, people cannot be forced. Those who search and stay open minded will realize the true power of bitcoin. And those who ignor it today may regreted it in the future.

True most people are stuck in a programmed life. where hard work, saving, and waiting for retirement is called freedom. But real freedom is stepping outside, those invisible walls, and today bitcoin has open that path for us.
