That is a good amount to hold and I think that price will increase as we go closer to the end of the year so if you have that amount then the best thing would be to hold it till the end of the year and sell if its giving you best profits.

I see that ethereum coin was continuously on increasing trends for the past 2 weeks, but I think also that this altcoin was not reach the $1000 this year. In my speculation this ethereum coins are reach $1000 maybe after 1-2 years only, if this coin are continues increasing from now.

Moreover, for me it's better if you hold your ethereum for long period of time, because for now it was not yet recognized by all people due to they were attract to the continues increasing of bitcoin. That's why they select to invest to this coin instead of investing to ethereum coin.

ETH was going sideways for a while maybe also because of distraction of BTC forks but a lot of high profile new projects like Raiden and gonetwork will further improve the position of Ethereum. Raiden has turned into a two edged thing as Vitalik was not happy about the ICO. He would have preferred to keep that as an inhouse project as Raiden might help enable potential competitors. The reality is that ETH is pretty much the foundation for most things at the moment.

I don't pay attention for BTC's price pattern when I'm thinking about ethereum price. ETH is independent from bitcoin. We're not in the old days where ethereum is linked to bitcoin. Thus, hold it.

I think ETH  is good coin for investment for long term. If you don't need money right now and you have stable income I would recommend you hodl your coins. One day you will wake up a millionaire.
