hey guys i got a problem with middlecoin.
Well every undefined time period my rig seems to shut completely down with the message:
"Waiting for work available from pool"
after few seconds or maybe minutes it starts again and all is fine, i cant see any lags on the statistic so it seems not to be a problem for the profit but it must be horrible for the GPU, everytime it cools completely down and then heats back up.
Why is this happening? is it because of the switching to other coins? how can i prevent my rig from complete stopping?
Not sure; I know that between yesterday and today the middlecoin servers were having issues. How often does this happen? im on the eu server. i cant figure out how often this happens, cuz it never appears anywhere in the statistics on middlecoin, i just notice it when sitting next to my rig. and it already happened today like 3-4 times

My hashrate over the last 8 hours has been 2.15 when I have 3 rigs totaling 5.9Mh/s. They are all running, pumping out heat, and supposedly connected to middlecoin.com:3333. I have been on MC stably for over a month with the same cgminer.bat file, so I know my public address and configurations are correct. Thoughts? ? stop restart the workers... same thing happened to me when I woke up this morning. All workers about 30-40 khs slower than normal but running. Middlecoin reported 1.02 Mhs when I am running 3.1 Mhs. restarted workers went up to normal. in other news... looks like a bad payout today... oh wells... this pool is usually pretty good so.. take the good with the bad.

That's one of the things h2o is working on to fix. There is no way to completely prevent it as it's on the server side but you could probably lower the effect of it by load-balancing between pools. Also, judging from h2o's tweets, the us servers might have less of getwork failures.

We had a good payout yesterday so I am happy.
Cue the sales pitches for all of the other multi-pools to come in any moment now.

Thanks!! Just restarted all of them and hash is over 3.7 and climbing. Seems to have worked!

Is there a disadvantage since im in europe? More rejects or something like this? And what do you mean by load balancing between pools?

Another underwhelming day on the Asia server.
At 1.30 when the payout comes, I'm going to point my miners at middlecoin.com instead of asia.middlecoin.com for 24 hrs to see what happens.
I assume that the vanilla middlecoin.com server is the one that is performing well?
I will report back with my findings.

And what do you mean by load balancing between pools? The US servers might have less getwork failures but you also might get more rejects because of the higher latency. So in the end it might not make a difference. But only way to be sure is for you to test it. What I mean is to use the load-balance option in cgminer and set it to balance the load between the eu/us servers. I don't know if it will actually help but it's been discussed here a few times. Search back some pages and you'll find it.

Also eu has been running for weeks now, why is it still in beta?
Because it is still having instability issues. Be sure to read the Middlecoin Twitter feed for updates. Also don't forget the FAQ for the server lists. http://middlecoin.kobal.org/index.php/Main_PageThis is very useful, my thanks Oh that was very helpful. Apparently, useast is the closest by ping followed by amsterdam. uswest is actually a higher ping than amsterdam... Now I know what's my 2nd backup.

You may find they are mining different pools, so today maybe worse than US server but tomorrow might be better, and it probably isn't what h2o want in the first place, having everyone rushing to 1 pool that had most payout yesterday and cause more issues. The solution is to standardize the payout since multiple servers can't mine the same coin due to the large hashrate middlecoin has, this really should be a priority rather than adding new servers with different payouts.

Very good earnings today considering unexchanged was almost completely exchanged last night, and we've re-accumulated so much more already.

just check your unexchanged, what you didn't received today, you 'll receive it tomorrow. if you're not happy, nobody's forcing you to use middlecoin...

Obviously tonight was not a good time for H2O to sell coins. Tomorrow should be a huge payday. Your electric bill only comes once a month, not daily.
