Also, has anyone experimented with large weight hallmarks? ie 1000
Or will that simply be a zombie lure? and then clog up the block chains like we saw on 0.4.4 ?

yeah, I run large weight for a guy who contacted me to run his nodes,
DDoS never ends Smiley

so need more testing to find out what Weight wastes how much bandwidth/RAM etc.

Hey Ferment,  are those your 34,785nxt hallmarked nodes? do you have any insight on weight vs RAM?

Also, what are we even looking for in testing these nodes? Ha!

I assume, ability to stay up to date while connecting to many peers. What about timing out these dead peers? Wouldn't that benefit in fighting the zombies?

At some point we'll hit a wall coz 1 NXT fee becomes too expensive. The next wall will be at 100-fold capitalization coz fee will be 0.01 NXT.

manually adding Wellknownpeers is still cheating isn't it? how much capacity does the app have to learn these itself?

If there are serious bugs in the foundational codes or assets exchange cannot be delivered for some reasons.

surely the launch could have been handled better or at least more coins should have gone straight to the faucet on genesis (for some sort of guaranteed wide redistribution).
or maybe a proof of work initial genesis would have been more ideal (ala peercoin)
the result now is a community consisting of : 10000 beggars and 71 holders playing gods  Undecided (for sure they don't like playing santas as they don't give a single coin away although hoding millions of them?)
I've been begging since yesterday still awaiting the 1 coin to even use the network (and the faucet is in perennial queue)
I love the technology of the coin ...but it needs to be a bit more "people" oriented and not only a greed fest or resentment towards it will grow soon enough.
there's already a similar technology coin that's been in the works for a while (Emu).....if that one makes people feel more "part of something " it might be a serious threat for NXT.
in other words slow down a bit on the greed fest and help ppl have that 1 coin that makes them feel part of the network. it will benefit all in the end. everyone with 1 coin will become a voice for NXT and together we will make it surpass BTC (cos it's better than BTC in every way)  .
hoping still for my first coin to get started and join in somehow

I don't know, bitcoin has supernodes in the config file, aren't we supposed to do the same? This is for cfB to answer.
