Yes, currently slightly more than 10 BTC in completely free public freerolls each week.

I don't have exact current numbers handy, but we spend even more in overlays on guarantee tournaments. The largest of the week is usually the 10 BTC guarantee tourney on Saturday. Last week we added 2.59 BTC to the prize pool. It costs 0.1 BTC to get in the big Sat game.

What is the shortest password I can use?  This will enable me to log back on faster when I get disconnected.

I downloaded 2.15.  I played a tourney and got disconnected 5 times in an hour.  There was also lag.  For example I would see 5 of the 9 players post their antes and then it would pause.  When the pause finished not only had all the remaining antes been posted but people had folded raised and called preflop and awaiting my action.  The lagged happened multiple times without being disconnected.

It may not be a good idea to use a very short password.

In the options menu go to the bottom and selection 'connection options' then click 'auto login on D/C'.

I love what your doing guys but the disconnects have become a real issue.  Can we start up a new server fund or something, I'd be willing to donate.  I really want to see you guys grow but that's not gonna happen until you pin down these network issues.

It isn't a problem of money. We buy servers, set them up and watch them and we've been getting disappointing results for the most part. Lag is certainly a serious problem, but a server going completely dark for several minutes or more is a worse problem and we don't want to make a move to a server where that happens more frequently. Restrictions on where we are willing to run a server and ddos protection requirements make it challenging, but we will solve it, hopefully very soon.

Have you tried using CloudFlare? They can protect you against DDoS attacks by filtering out traffic before it reaches your servers.

It sucks that the competition plays dirty and tries to DDoS instead of offering a better service than you through.

My krill is 152 over the entire population of the site.  Three days ago I got hit with four of kind in major hands, three times in one night.
Having played online poker for over 15 years, and having sat through the UltimateBet cheating scandal, I have to say that I have poured enough money into SWC which has-- at best-- a broken AI; and at worst-- a preconceived design to allow players affiliated with the owners to cheat.

SealsWithClubs has changed substantially since BTC's were $5.80 USD.  Once the BTCs went over $18 USD they started their shenanigans such that outlandish, improbable hands began to hit at the river-- and always in the favor of players affiliated with the site.

But consider it from the point of view of the owners of the site: take one hundred bucks from your different steady players some ten times a night, and you get an extra grand every night, and 365 grand a year. Don't go back too often, or they might think that it isn't their bad play or bad luck.

Yet, despite all of that, sometimes things are mathematically improbable.  And as BTCs increased in value, the greed increased, and they increased their play.  Go to the higher value tables and watch the teams work.

I absolutely expect to be punished for this statement because I believe the owners of the site to be affiliated with major organized crime based in Eastern Europe.  It's really wonderful though to see that guy play at the big money tables on T.V., to live his dream with the stolen moneys from his patrons.  Surely, he is of the exact same quality of a Deeb, Hansen, or Brunson?  Right!?!  I mean all of those poker greats also achieved status after owning their own casinos to get their scratch, right!?!

I am completely aware I sound like a sore loser.  But I have been around enough to know I simply can't play there any more, and Satoshi is a better payout with less bullshit.

Just two cents from a miner who refuses to spend coins at that site anymore.

Is this true? I've definitely experienced some awfully suspicious hands, however I just chalked it up to poor luck.

Wow fat you should post those hands on grindabit. I doubht that eastern European theory of yours though.  I still remember a nasty plo beat in  3 6 . I had trip sixes and hit a six on river  but was unknowingly drawing dead as player had already hit a sf. Totally standard in plo were your beats in nl or plo? Anyway please post those beats on gab I doubt you will be punished.

Emergency Downtime.  We have to move, can't have this lag / disconnects anymore.

ETA ~4.5 hrs of downtime, although ST6 is getting really fast at this.

It may take that long, but we were prepared for this, just moved it sooner because of the terrible performance today, so it will likely be faster.

A few points of business for Sunday 9-1-2013

♣) Morning w/the Chairman is back after the disconnection strike ended last night:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOChr19oFzo
♣) The "BIG BTC" is set to pop off at 3pm ET like it does every week.  Expecting a crowd today.
♣) Freemoney, Xdev, and the rest of ST6 deserve special recognition for the extremely fast datacenter move last night.  Shows what a handful of motivated humans can accomplish when they decide to do something right.  #slowclap

I'll see you all in lobby chat / in the big btc!
