Ethereum developers aim for Pectra mainnet upgrade in MarchAhead of the mainnet upgrade, hard forks are expected on the Ethereum test networks in February. If the forks on the testnets go as planned, the mainnet rollout is expected to follow the next month. Ethereum developers aim to launch the network’s Pectra upgrade in March 2025, with specific milestones leading up to this mainnet fork. New client releases for the upgrade and hard forks on Ethereum test networks Sepolia and Holesky are expected by February in coordination with client software teams, according to a core developer call on Thursday. If the forks on the testnets go as planned, the mainnet rollout will follow the next month. While initially planned for late 2024, the scope of the upgrade expanded significantly, leading to a delay. https://www.theblock.co/post/335357/ethereum-pectra-march

ETH
supply continues to increase
I'm hopeless for ETH
Don't be hopeless and also the supply isn't an issue here. I know that ETH is lagging seriously in this season, but it is just the beginning. A crazy ETH season is ahead of us. ETH will catch up the momentum and once it does it would be unstoppable. Just wait and you will find the most crazy ETH price very soon. I know that SOL is showing more strength due to all sort of political influence but remember technology always win in the end. Check the Vitalik X picture, they guys can pump any coin or NFTs by their Twitter handle. Not a healthy trend in my point of view.

What is going to be the end benefit of those using, mining, staking and trading Ethereum when there are too many upgrades happening. For one reason or another, it seems the Ethereum developers cannot get enough of both hard forks and upgrades. I know these must be important but if the developers can reduce the number it will give analysts something else to write about. Ethereum developers aim for Pectra mainnet upgrade in March

Wow, this coin is still active? I thought the 2 pools were earning everything and the gas fees have turned everyone away from ERC-20 projects.
Funny how people hold onto expensive things like this. It should be dead by now.
Sure, it isn't as high as it once was but still, PoS was supposed to bring this down to pennies per transaction.

I heard that Ethereum foundation has planned to vote whether they want to do a chain rollback or removing the hackers ETH supply. I am not here to discuss whether they should do it or not but the question is if they have the ability for chain rollback and address freezes, how can we say the Ethereum network is decentralized Also if this happens wouldn't the Ethereum will lose credibility? And also why can't the hacker sell most of the Ethereum through decentralized or instant exchanges before the fork ?

It is hard to believe Ethereum lost 4% in value as a result of the ByBit hack and the news has spread panic. Rolling back the blockchain is going to set a dangerous precedent where every hacked exchange will ask for their respective blockchains to be rolled back. I would be surprised if they went ahead, it is probably just one of several options being discussed.

They have done it before ... There is no precedent set here - only 'another' RollBack. That is the issue here. #crysx #cwi

A fork is a fork, not a rollback. Ethereum will not be rolled back because of the ByBit hack. That wasn't the Point ... It WAS Rolled back when the massive happened by Forking from a Previous Block BEFORE the Theft/hack happened back then. So call it what you will - it was called a RollBack then, it is called a RollBack now regardless of the mechanism used (HardForking). #crysx #cwi

The hard fork after the TheDAO hack was technically not a rollback, although that is the term many people use to describe the event. My understanding of what happened was that they changed the balance of certain contracts so that the funds would not go to the hacker at the conclusion of a one month withdrawal waiting period. They did not fork the chain to a previous point in Ethereum’s history. I believe the hacker’s original transactions are still recorded on the blockchain, but the Ethereum developers made some modifications so that the outcome of those transactions would result in something different than what originally should have happened.

Does anybody believe they will actually rollback the blockchain? The Ethereum team have many different issues to worry about. I doubt it will happen and it sounds just as ludicrous as when Binance was hacked and in a video CZ seemingly unilaterally stated rolling back the blockchain was an option. It was (and still is) ridiculous to even take that view seriously.

It is not good ... But it has happened and if it is taken into consideration again a second time, this will devastate Ethereum and all it stands for. #crysx #cwi
