Likely this problem is due to my checking in of a changelist that was needed to do windows build.. which.. i should have put an #ifdef around..

Try reverting this or just remove "mgw48" from that makefile.  And it should work.  Someone already got client built for linux QT.

So the coin has only been truly launched since 6 hours ago and people are already:

-quitting because it's too hard

-bitching about price not good enough

-calling it a scam

?

Come on, seriously....
The 2 first reasons seems to be pretty good reason to me to stop mining.

Please suit yourself.

Better for the rest of us.

Mainly because the first two parameters are meaningless on their own, only mean something relatively to each other.

If you applied the same criteria to any other coin, including AUR, BTC, LTC and MAX, you'd have made 0 $ from them because you'd have quit after a few hours, you do realize that?

Who on God's green Earth dumps his coin after 6 hours anyway?

I've tried to send my GPUCoin address to get my share from investment, but all emails are returned with this kind of error message (worked 1 week ago):

"[email protected]":
domain has no valid mail exchangers

I sent mine a couple of hours ago worked fine

Small miners stop mining I think!!! Huge GPUs coin selling lowest price ...30 satoshi/coin and can lower... no way to dig anymore...

cmon. there are no huge and small.
there are devs sitting at bambillion of coins trying to dump at least something before ships sunks entirely

And at the next IPO-coin all the morons will flood in again, then even defend the "CEO" and his devs, getting scammed and left naked again, like it already happened a thousand times.
Stupidity never extincts.

Want BTC quick? Just clone a coin with random features, announce them big, premine and sell that shit for "IPO", as soon as the thing starts and people really mine it, go to a market, sell the remains of your premine and gtfo with your BTC from premine and IPO.
People are so easy to get scammed.

tell me what is the point to mine a new coin with such high difficulty?

Wtf? There's nothing better than that! 99% of coins released here are instamined, then within a day, dumped to death. That can't happen with this coin. Yes it might take a while to earn but that's good for the value of the coin in the long term. If you don't want to mine it don't but you might regret it later when you could've had a few GPUs worth.
Do you really believe what you just wrote ?

It seems with a redownloaded Block-Chain those transactions get confirmed slowly, there are probably multiple forks in the network which seem to re-merge later.

Its a problem that hashrate is so uneven spread, one pool as almost 80% of the network.

Please wait a few hours until your payouts get confirmed, if they are still not confirmed by this evening I'll look into it again.

https://gpu.suprnova.cc

Yes this is most likely the issue.. transactions will get through, just the forks will keep delaying it..

For people that wants a visualiztion of this effect watch this video at 12:45 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx9zgZCMqXE

I think a good inflationary coin that actually acts as a currency stands a far better chance at thriving than other coins with much smaller totals. So with that in mind I think that GPU is a winner currently, along with VTC since it was first out of the gate and has a sustainable block halving rate. Not sure what to make of EXE, but at this point I feel like any scrypt-n coin is far more appealing than a new scrypt or sha256 coin. That is until someone makes a scrypt-n coin with 100 billion total and calls it doge 2  Cheesy

That is not happening, it's all miners dumping.  The premine hasn't moved at all yet (check blockchain)

So you saying only morons mining this? I mean, with this price its not even reaching ROI with powercosts.

IPO haven't received there coin yet.

The Dev has 75.000.000 coins and 12,000,000 coins have been mined so far

Volume on Atomic trade is around 300,000 coins that's buys and sells

Nobody is dumping apart from the idiots selling for less than it costs to mine, who probably don't even realize you will be able to buy GPU's with this coin in a couple of weeks hopefully

I have a weird issue here....I cannot quite figure it out Smiley

I have Vertminer set to solo mine (I know, I know, just hoping to hit a bit of luck), and the wallet open.

I am seeing coins going into the wallet regularly, in the region of about 60-70 coins each transaction.

The thing is, I have not found a block yet myself....

So is someone mining for me here? Not sure what is happening Smiley
