Yea, it's crazy to see such big wallets. There were a few around 700k-800k as well. Doesn't seem like many people are dumping, but that's probably because the buy support and price aren't very large. Or, maybe it's because they see the potential of 888 and are holding long term!  Wink

Yeah, there are some big holders. I don't think there is enough buy support. In reality the only bit of volume seen is from CryptoRush and that isn't much. Mintpal and Cryptsy will really prove the coins worth.

Speaking of whales, my roommate has about 150,000.... he's held every single bit and still mines it some.

I have about 40,000 and have held. It just doesn't make sense to sell before any type of real exchange or announcements from the devs.

And when people come to us screaming scam about Octo, which is rare, but has happened here and there, it has no support to that claim. The devs couldn't even cash out without having the volume support on an exchange which hasn't happened for Octo yet.

So you have to say, all in all, the devs COULD have cashed out,... if they wanted... cause there were bought up some big stacks.
But really, the devs don't sound to me like little kids wanting a few hundred or a few thousand $. (For 8 people...)
What the hell are 10-20 BTC if you can make easily 100 BTC or more with ONLY ANNOUNCING! any sponsoring or whatever after you bought your coin into the big exchanges. Why spending weeks with lying around and beeing in the forum if you just wanted to scam a few people.
Ask yourself why some people are holding these bigstacks. This coin isn't here to be another small fishy coin.
I saw some sort of constellation like this before, there's something in the bush!  Wink
I believe it's intended to be like it is in the moment...  Smiley

So just hold on guys and you can be one of the big winners  Grin

I don't think they could if they wanted to. Even the buy support at CryptoRush wasn't enough to make much. You'd have to figure for the amount of investment as far as time/money, most pump n dump scam coins expect a certain % return to make that worthwhile. With 8 devs and the amount of time/money invested, i don't think the shakiness  of any trading on cryptorush would have paid out 8 devs a decent amount. Not to mention they would have had to bought up quite a bit as most of the small premine was paid out to users on the launch at fusionhash.

I agree.... hold this coin if you want to get the big payday. As for you who are selling..... I'll keep buying. I have mined about 30,000 and bought about 10,000. I'll keep buying as long as I can and of course my miner is still pointing that direction.

The wallet that I am 99% sure belongs to the devs hasn't moved many coins. And the original 700000+ Octo is still in the wallet. They definitely haven't dumped.

yeah cryptorush was the inly exchange listed for coinmarketcap. we will need mint or cryptsu, bter (gross), coinedup or poloniex to get the coinmarketcap listing back.

Hey, I was the guy the other day with the 50000 Octos than weren't getting confirmed in his wallet....

I am still waiting and I really don't know who to ask for help!

txid: 50425a0634776962195dae53ed843b02361aa1532f13f1455f65c9b4ff4e13ec

the transaction doesn't show up in the block explorer for some reason, the transaction detail from my wallet are below.

I sent this same basic message to the Octocoin dev but haven't heard anything yet. The transactions been sitting in my wallet for a couple days now unconfirmed. There must be something that can be done right, it'd be pretty damn upsetting to loose out on 50000+ Octocoin. The transaction happened around the time the block explorer site went off line, is it possibly related??

1. Make a backup of your wallet.dat
2. Create a shortcut of octocoin-qt.exe
3. Right-click on the shortcut -> properties
4. Write "-salvagewallet" behind the command in the target line (like octocoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet)
5. Save it
6. Double-click on the shortcut
7. If the wallet is broken, replace it with your backup wallet (still hold a copy of it!)
8. You should be fine

I sent out a "test" newsletter to all users, got lots of replies "STAHP!"

Sorry to spam. I won't be sending out newsletters unless there's real news or big problems. It was just a test!
