Hey, I was the guy the other day with the 50000 Octos than weren't getting confirmed in his wallet....

I am still waiting and I really don't know who to ask for help!

txid: 50425a0634776962195dae53ed843b02361aa1532f13f1455f65c9b4ff4e13ec

the transaction doesn't show up in the block explorer for some reason, the transaction detail from my wallet are below.

Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 4/12/2014 00:42
From: unknown
To: 8ddgmCoaxkVduVYzoYJQfHP4CuD7mytceo (own address, label: Main)
Credit: 52140.68372189 888
Net amount: +52140.68372189 888
Transaction ID: 50425a0634776962195dae53ed843b02361aa1532f13f1455f65c9b4ff4e13ec

I sent this same basic message to the Octocoin dev but haven't heard anything yet. The transactions been sitting in my wallet for a couple days now unconfirmed. There must be something that can be done right, it'd be pretty damn upsetting to loose out on 50000+ Octocoin. The transaction happened around the time the block explorer site went off line, is it possibly related??

1. Make a backup of your wallet.dat
2. Create a shortcut of octocoin-qt.exe
3. Right-click on the shortcut -> properties
4. Write "-salvagewallet" behind the command in the target line (like octocoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet)
5. Save it
6. Double-click on the shortcut
7. If the wallet is broken, replace it with your backup wallet (still hold a copy of it!)
8. You should be fine

In case this has helped i´m happy about a donation Smiley 8JjBADhWXvziemzRdk7ivxxkpE1odjcgzh

Thank you, I will try this when I get home!  Smiley

Now my wallet just doesn't show the 50000 at all. I take it I'm screwed.

nah because you have the backup of the wallet.dat. this issue has came up before earlier in this thread and the guy fixed his wallet. you are going to have to read back through and see if there is anything different. i would help but i'm at work. if you haven't got it fixed by the time i get home tonight i'll see if i see anything different earlier in the thread.

sent octocoinpool (dot) tk pool operator a message about gaps about an hour long where coins do not show up even though dashboard registers me mining.  Not sure if it's faster to contact here or through pool's email.

Maybe just because your coins are unconfirmed? Not really sure, but I know everything has been working fine.

Half April and still no updates fromthe devs, it's starting to be boring.

And please, don't tell me they have been active or that they have a plan. I hear it already. But just look @others coins (ZEIT with a news feed in the OP, C2 where the dev team is über active). Those coins are active. Octo isn't at all atm

man, 60k Octos for only 1000$. thats +5000$ when it hits 0.10$   Smiley

 Cheesy

But the devs aren't active and the coin will never be worth 10 cents....

I'll buy 60,000 for $60... that's about .001 cents... i think that's fair for a coin that's not ever going to be worth anything. Smiley

Meh, you can just keep being pretentious as fuck, i'll dump as soon as cryptorush will be live. Either you will buy them, either not, I don't care.

Regarding the current mining revenue, I thought it was an OK price for true believers.

Excepting to make profit like you are doing, is nothing more but expecting something out of thin air. Keep going.
