Can you try port 3448 and 3449 again? They should be fixed and working now.

All coins can be "questionable" at a given time.. some are better or worse than others, but that's the point of mining new coins. CRYPT has only ever been hype - there's *still* nothing of substance, yet. Maybe they will deliver, maybe they won't, but there's no reason to jump on mining something based on 100% hype unless you're just hoping that somehow leads to a pump (which can be a viable strategy, but isn't the one we use for ipoMiner).

I think you may misunderstand what we try to do at ipoMiner. We aren't in the business of predicting what coin will get hyped and pumped 2 weeks from now. Our goal has always been, and continues to be, to find what coin can you mine now and sell within the next 1-36 hours. Not to toot my own horn, but we are *extremely* good at that - better than any other public site in this business, I would argue.

We do not advise holding the coins we mine for substantial periods of time - that has never been the intent of our coin selection or goal. I think what it sounds like you're looking for is a trading group, which has never been our intended purpose. I know I've said it before, but I'll repeat it here in case anyone hasn't heard it from me before: I specifically encourage everyone to separate mining from trading.

Mine what's profitable to mine; trade what you think is profitable to trade.. but don't use us as your trading advice platform, since that's not what we try to offer Smiley

Now, as far as your list of "turkeys" go:

WC and AC were massively profitable to mine - two of the most profitable coins of the year, aside from SpainCoin and BlackCoin, actually. BLU, OC, YC, SHIBE, and DOJE were not smash hits, but they were as profitable or more profitable, to mine and sell, than any other coin that was available at the time they were released.

HOC was a total failure, I 100% agree. It was also mined for what, less than 6-12 hours on the multiport? Hardly a substantial investment, and there were not any stellar alternatives at the time.

We mined LION for less than 30 minutes.

SYNC, FRAC, WEST, MAST, LOL, VOOT, and PIGGY have all been terrific for miners to mine and sell. DRK and HIRO are older coins that users asked us to add as x11 direct ports.

LIMX and KIWI were more profitable to mine and sell than other coins based on immediate profitability, but never did anything particularly exciting/sort of fizzled, that's true.

Most of the "bigger pools" mine EVERY coin out there. We try to select the best ones, from the perspective of mining profitability, using the information that is available around the time of launch and after. Most of the coins you mention were overhyped and have never delivered on their promises - they could have just as easily failed as they could have gone up, and yes, any coin that increases by more than 10x based on pure hype could be called a "lucky pump".

Great post, joining the pool now Wink

I think mining Veil is going to result in a lot of bagholders, personally. They're just trying to play off the anon-hype train, and there's already some questionable info out there about it... https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=661820.0

You probably just got disconnected when our proxy was reset to add a new port for our newest x11 coin Smiley We just added SurvivorCoin on direct port 3612 and the x11 multiport.

You might find this quite interesting, real time data on different cyber attacks like ddos's country to country including ip's. No surprise China is #1 offender but some may shock you! Mesmerizing to watch the graphical laser show of the online world attacking itself, and what your seeing is real time to boot!

We are excited to announce ipoMiner.com, a switching multipool that targets the most promising new coins, as well as the most profitable existing ones.

Are you disappointed by low returns, lack of transparency, and the slow addition of profitable newer coins at existing multipools? Does mining newer, more profitable coins without the headache of watching bitcointalk ANN threads sound appealing? You'll love mining with us. We take all the effort out of mining new coins, and aim to be the most profitable switching pool, period.

After more than a month of invitation-only beta tests, we have now opened registration to everyone. We offer the same familiar interface, proven code, and experienced team that is responsible for one of the largest switching pools today -- the original multipool, Multipool.us.

We use enterprise-grade hosting and DDOS-resistant networks, provide lightning fast payouts, and offer all the other bells and whistles you've come to expect from the best pools today, with the added benefit of being more profitable.

Sign up at ipoMiner.com to start mining the hottest new coins and enjoy increased profits Smiley

Adding servers in the EU adds complexity to our infrastructure, more maintenance overhead, and more potential points of failure. We have a server sitting idle in an EU datacenter currently that we were planning on adding as a pool endpoint, but there hasn't been much demand for it so we haven't done it yet.

Well for SVR that depends if you sold when it was high before it crashed.
Really depends where it is at tomorrow.

That is true, and while I know IPOminer says they look for most profitable at the time, in some cases I do hold for a while like in the case of SVR I am looking a bit more long term along with TECH.  So while the price on SVR did drop I feel it is undervalued and will be on its way up in the coming weeks.

Good luck guys! happy mining

My SVR has been over the threshold I set but hasn't paid out for more than 12 hours now.

EDIT: Nevermind, even though it is telling me that it is setting to .5 I see it is actually changing it to 1.  Usually when there is a minimum on the coin and you set it below the minimum it tells you that it set it to that minimum instead of whatever you entered.  In this case it says it is setting it to what I entered but really it isn't.
